Has anyone done a high alkaline diet to get rid of eczema? After years of trying to mange it with not much success I’m going to try changing my diet and heard alkaline is good but getting conflicting advice on which foods are high alkaline I.e brocoliii , avocados etc.

No idea, sounds interesting though. I think mine is linked to dairy as it went when I gave up dairy for a while, but tbh cheese is worth the eczema 😂

I started one for my psoriasis before Christmas and I've had more success with it than 30 years of creams and tablets from the dermatologist.

I based it on the 'Radiant' book by Hanna Sillitoe (which I think is suitable for eczema too) and it's got sections on alkaline foods.

I haven't stuck to this 100% as I'm not vegan so i've made some changes and used the book as more of a guideline but it's worked really well and I'm 90% clear now and only using cream on the very stubborn patches. I only did the fast for 3 days then went back to 2 healthy meals a day with a green smoothie for breakfast.

I think for me the main difference was cutting out the nightshade family completely (tomatoes, peppers, chillies, white potates), no caffeine and eating a ton more dark, leafy veg.

There's no credible science behind alkaline food. Sugar, dairy, gluten and eggs can worsen eczema - what are your triggers? Some people find that the nightshade family irritates their skin, although it is more commonly associated with rosacea.
