My shins are awful, dry flaky etc etc what do people use to make theirs smooth. Whenever I moisturiser them they just go back to being flaky and dry.

Body shop coconut butter I find is brill for lizard skin shins (I have them too)

FiremanKing · 16/05/2019 08:37

Lancome nutrix royal body lotion.

goose1964 · 16/05/2019 09:06

Cetaphil works wonders on mine.

banivani · 16/05/2019 09:24

I think you should look for urea as an ingredient. It loosens the bindings between skin cells or something so aids in getting rid of the dead scaly skin (sort of like exfoliation).

twitterbird · 16/05/2019 21:31

Coconut oil has sorted mine out

This Works - Dry Leg Oil

Xiaoxiong · 16/05/2019 21:51

When I get really scaly dry skin I use the Scholl cracked heel cream which I think has a good concentration of urea (hi bani!) I wouldn't use it on my face but I do put it on feet, elbows and knees and it helps immensely.

VioletCharlotte · 16/05/2019 22:10

Mine are too. I bought some almond oil yesterday to rub in every night. I'll report back and let you know if it works!

Greenvalleymama · 16/05/2019 22:18

Oh I have lizard shins too 😫 I will try some cracked heel balm with urea in and report back!

WellTidy · 16/05/2019 22:23

You definitely need something with urea in it. Try a moisturiser that contains 5% urea as a starting point. Granite hydra is cheap at about a fiver for 400ml. If you need a higher percentage, you can go from there.

I have super dry skin and this works for me.

You need to scrub of dead skin (mitt, or loofah, or scrub) then use Ameliorate or Ren Serum body, it contains lactic acid that loosens dead skin cells.

Then you moisturise with a urea based cream.

Also, get your legs out in the sun/air a bit helps
