How did you learn to love yourself?

I'm in the middle of desperately trying to teach myself to love myself - If that makes sense!
I follow all of these amazing body positivity ambassadors on social media and have been following all of their tips, trying to embrace who I am and what I have but not finding it easy at all!
I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder just after having my DTwins3 so I've yet to shift that 2 stone post baby weight, I have also lost all of my Hair in the past 3 Months which Doctors believe is connected, currently undergoing a lot of tests right now.
I don't hate myself but I've developed horrible appearance anxiety all based around my new 'look' which I would love to shrug off.
Does anyone have any tips on teaching yourself to love yourself? Summers coming and I'd love to embrace it instead or hiding away Sad

I am not sure there is a short cut here. It sounds as if you are convinced by your appearance anxiety. Do you know someone who is good at clothes and very cosy emotionally that you would trust to be truthful AND kind? A sister perhaps? Good luck and good wishes. x

Watching with interest. I’m pushing 40, at my heaviest, in therapy for broken down relationship with DM... Need to get a grip before this becomes me for the rest of my life!
Who do you follow on SM op?
Good luck and good for you for getting the ball rolling...

I can recommend ‘Just One Thing’ by Rick Hanson, to help with this. It’s all about practical ways to have a bit of self-compassion for yourself.
