Linen trousers wearing through

My fat face linen trousers have nearly worn through on the inner thighs. I'm slightly chunky of thigh but not overweight. Does anyone else have this problem? I bought them off eBay but they were new so I can't take them back to fat face. It's happened before but I was led to believe by FF that they were a faulty pair. I've worn them a handful of times and they have bobbled on the thighs and are about to go into a hole.
Is this a common occurrence? Where is best for linen trousers? These are cropped and I love them so am really disappointed Sad

Yes, this happened to my fat Face linen trousers and ones from Next. Haven't found a solution yet but hopefully someone will know which ones to buy.
You aren't alone in this. Maybe it happens to everyone who doesn't have a thigh gap?!

I find this happens with linen trousers too. You can buy iron on sticky patch fabric which is handy to get more use out of them, but it's only going to help see the summer out.

If they’re this seasons I’d still try to take them back without a receipt. They’re not fit for purpose. You might only get a credit note for current sale price but that’s still better than nothing

All. The. Time. I do cycle a lot though to get around. Am always thinking about how I could make them stronger with patches or so before the hole starts.

That said, I get at least one season out of mine. Take them back, that's ridiculous.

Next linen blend trousers usually see me through a year. And since I live somewhere hot, that means about 8 months of wear. But the quality has definitely dropped. I've just binned my trousers that were from about 2016, along with some 2018 ones.

Last year, or maybe 2 years ago now, FF changed to Irish linen and put the price up to nearly £50 a pair. They also changed the fit and they were awful so that's why I looked on eBay for the older versions. I walk a lot but there's still no way they should wear out so quickly. Jeans do it but after months of wearing most days. My M&S linen ones lasted about 3 years but the fit wasn't as good-too baggy and too high waisted. I need things to sit just below my belly button.
