A) Won’t fall off my eyelashes during the day

B) Not too harsh - I have sensitive skin, use benefit at the moment and that’s ok apart from problem A)

Is there such a product which fulfils these tough criteria?!

I've used Clinique Naturally Glossy mascara for years, it stays put and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes.

DulcieRay · 10/05/2019 18:05

I always use Rimmel
It eventually flakes off the following morning if I fall asleep with it on Blush otherwise stays put and even the non waterproof ones don't run with my dreadful hay fever which is impressive

DulcieRay · 10/05/2019 18:06

I can't remember the names, ones bright orange and the others lime green

Clinique lash power

scaredofthecity · 10/05/2019 18:12

Have a look for a tubing mascara. It stays put but then you just rinse it off with warm water. It was a complete revelation to me!

Estee lauder doubleware no smudge is one but there are many others available.

TheCanterburyWhales · 10/05/2019 18:16

Dior Pump & Volume is the Holy Grail for me, but I don't know how it works with sensitive.

jalopy · 10/05/2019 18:23

Clinique Lash Power.

Stays put. No smudging.

Washes off with warm water.

Yet another vote for Clinique's Lash Power. I once cried off all my eyeshadow and that mascara stayed intact!

Isthebigwomanhere · 10/05/2019 19:47

Lancôme

OhFFSMary · 10/05/2019 20:22

Right, off to have a look at the Clinique range as they seem to be the front runners, thanks for all the suggestions!

It sounds like you’re after a tubing mascara. I’ve been using Kevyn Aucoin curling mascara recently and it’s great. You don’t get a really full on look from it, but it’s just right for daytime.

Badabingbadabum · 10/05/2019 21:20

Tubing! Clinique Lash Power, or my new excellent find: Maybelline Snapscara. Very nearly as good as Clinique but more than half the price so good way to try a tubing one. They don't flake or smudge and wipe away with warm water.

LesLavandes · 10/05/2019 21:34

I swear by Chanel mascara

Theghosttrain · 10/05/2019 21:37

Boots No 7 in the gold tube is a good tubing mascara. The only thing that shifts it is a shower or a hot flannel.

OhFFSMary · 11/05/2019 20:43

What is the difference between normal mascara and tubing mascara?

Since I read this article I’ve been using L’Oreal Paradise. I’ve honestly been asked by friends, family and even strangers what mascara I’m wearing. I’m very happy.

@OhFFSMary

A tubing mascara in theory does not smudge. It adheres to the lash in such a way that you remove it by “pulling it off” as opposed to kind of scrubbing or wiping it off.

Tubing mascaras typically give a less thick lash coverage too but avoid the “junkie smudge” that you can get from fat lash mascaras like Benefit They’re Real or Maybelline brands x

tappitytaptap · 12/05/2019 15:01

I keep hearing about tubing mascaras on here...dense question but how do you know which ones those are?! Don't think I've seen them specifically being identified as such unless I'm being blind?

OhFFSMary · 12/05/2019 16:41

Thanks Paul! Sounds a bit grim though - pulling them off Envy [smileGrin - how do you avoid pulling your eyelashes out?!

Badabingbadabum · 15/05/2019 16:08

The mascara sort of just wipes away with hit water. No residue, no scrubbing, just gone.
