Recommendations for a tinted moisturiser WITHOUT SPF (gives me spots) for very pale saggy old skin please :)

Obviously looking for one that will magically transform my sallow, spotty skin into a firm, glowing mask of youthfulness :D

I currently use moisturiser (Clarins pink one) and the L'Oreal bb cream. I'd like to make this one step and so have been looking into a tinted moisturiser instead. It needs to be very pale and good for old, dry skin (I am 46 but have the skin of a 60 year old).

I love the Clarins cream, but when I use the SPF version it gives me weird under-the-skin spots and blackheads. So I'm avoiding anything with sunblock.

Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Are you wearing a separate sun block then? It should be worn everyday.

I am oily/spot prone and wear Paula’s choice resist spf 30 which is tinted. Lots of things break me out but this doesn’t.

If I was you I'd go to a beauty counter to get a skincare regime specifically tailored for your skin. You probably will need more than one step to fight the issues with your skin if that's what you'd like?
Also any reputable beauty counter will recommend you wear spf on your skin to prevent further ageing & skin cancer.

I'm prone to oily skin & spots so I first I apply an anti ageing serum (I'm using Clinique right now) then a spf 15 moisturiser for oily skin (Boots No7 Beautiful Skin which leaves skin matte - it's just been unfortunately discontinued BUT apparently they've brought out a replacement).

I then apply Clinique Superprimer on my tzone followed by Boots No7 BB cream.

I know that's more than one step but it takes just 5 mins.

Going back to the comment you made about your skin- SPF makes such a difference for anti ageing so it really does pay to use it. That, and the face that it can help to prevent getting skin cancer.

No I don’t wear a separate sun block, I’d usually only use it in summer on holiday if I’m out in the sun, so not every day.
But last year I saw that the clarins cream has a version with spf so started using that every day (I’d been using the one without spf). Within a couple of weeks I got spots etc and it took a while to clear up.
Tried again this year, same reaction.
So I think daily spf is not doing my skin any good tbh.

I’m really looking for a good tinted moisturiser.

That’s one sun screen..there are lots more out there that you can try. Try Biorre watery essence on amazon. Right, I’ll stop with my preaching now!

Avene do a fantastic anti-blemish spf.

I get what you’re all saying but I’ll stick with using my separate sunscreen when necessary, as I know my skin doesn’t react to that.
I am looking for a good tinted moisturiser, one that has a light colour but with coverage that blends in well.

LaRoche-Posay www.laroche-posay.co.uk/effaclar-duo-unifiant, designed to be kind to spot prone skin, and no spf. However the third ingredient is silicone, which would break me out in a day. If you're OK with silicones, then it seems to fit the bill.
