Hi,
Thinking of trying them after hearing good things!
How long will I need to keep socks on for?
How long does the nice soft effect last?

I’d just buy the cheap ones from Amazon! They are only a fiver and do the same job. Socks stay on for an hour, mine start peeling after a couple of days and then are usually finished a week after that

Hiphopopotamous · 30/04/2019 16:18

@TurnOffTheTv can you link the ones you use please?

EnidButton · 30/04/2019 16:18

I'm a fan. I keep them on for an hour and a half, soak feet in warm plain water every night for at least half an hour with some rubbing (no picking). Every night for however long it takes for the peeling to finish. Don't use anything moisturising whilst it's in the peeling process. I use sellotape over the top as the sticky bits don't make it snug enough and then wear fluffy socks over the bags.

First time took 6 days to start and a week and a half to finish. 3rd and onwards took 2 days to start and another 4-5 days to be finished.

Depends on the individual but in me it lasts about 3 months before I think about having another go. I usually just do it twice a year. Use foot cream in between goes.

I did this with some non footner ones from FeelUnique. They were about £5 for the pair. They worked in that they deeply exfoliated my feet and peeled the hard bits off (hideous) but if I’m honest, I didn’t much like the super soft feet I was left with. They were wayyyy too vulnerable to shoes rubbing. It was like I had to break all of my shoes again. Not fun. I now just use the soap and glory foot file with the flexitol heel balm every few days and my feet are fine. It targets the areas I want to soften without oversoftening the parts I don’t want to touch (like where shoes rub).

noitsachicken · 30/04/2019 16:27

Thanks.
Trying to decide the best time to do it, we need some rain!
I hate wearing socks!

I also found it made all my shoes rub again however I've bought another cause my feet are hideous from 13 hour shifts constantly walking/standing

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 30/04/2019 16:32

I think it’s the law that if you do it you have to post photos. Just FYI.

TurnOffTheTv · 30/04/2019 18:45

Yes to soaking feet every night! Oblig pictures attached

Jojo19834 · 30/04/2019 18:48

I suffer from really bad hard skin on my feet and tried the Footner ones and it only really shifted a layer of skin. Anyone else used something that really gets at the feet?

Chilledout11 · 30/04/2019 18:51

Omg Shock

TurnOffTheTv · 30/04/2019 18:59

That’s definitely the best results I’ve had! I swopped to this one last time and it’s really cleared everything!

EnidButton · 30/04/2019 19:43

Bonus tip, if you do the bag wearing but without any polish on (not even clear) it whitens and brightens your toe nails.

EnidButton · 30/04/2019 19:45

Check out that satisfying big sheet Turn Grin

TurnOffTheTv · 30/04/2019 19:49

It was pretty amazing!

JaneEyre07 · 30/04/2019 19:52

Did absolutely nothing for mine, and bear in mind you'll have 2 weeks where you look like you've got a serious skin condition akin to leprosy so won't be able to wear sandals...............

Best advice I had on here was to use a Newton's chiropody sponge in the shower, and use a really good heel balm with a high urea content.

EnidButton · 30/04/2019 20:07

but = bit

I'm going to do mine tomorrow. Keep meaning to but forgetting. This thread has made me want to get on with it. It'll soon be Summer.

noitsachicken · 01/05/2019 14:10

janeeyre that’s my fear!
Ordered it now though!

Right wore the socks whilst watching GOT, now I wait for the magic to happen!
Should I soak every night? Or only once the peeling has started?

OP posts:
EnidButton · 04/05/2019 23:29

Every night

EnidButton · 04/05/2019 23:31

Every night from tomorrow. Warm water (or hot, but not cool) with nothing in it. About 20-30 mins at least. When they get that dry feeling in a couple of days time start rubbing them whilst they're in the water.

Remember not to put any moisturiser on them or even use moisturising shower gel or oils on them until it's all finished.

noitsachicken · 05/05/2019 06:38

Thankyou!

nervousFTM · 25/05/2019 14:57

How did it go @noitsachicken ??

noitsachicken · 25/05/2019 15:04

Meh, it worked ok, but not impressed with the results TBH

OP posts:
wasnotwasweregood · 26/05/2019 00:21

I thought that the first time too - 'what was all the fuss?' - but subsequent goes have been really effective. I only use them 2-3 times a year (after sandal season especially) but it's worth doing. Don't forget sunscreen on your feet if you're wearing sandals after they've peeled though.
