Boob job next week

After many years of wanting breast augmentation I am finally booked in and the op date is now round the corner. I've had all my children, breast fed them all and I'm not getting massive boobs just having them plumped up and full again.

I researched, researched and researched some more. Found a great doctor stalked his previous patients and was very happy when I met him.

So I suppose what I'm wanting to know is ladies that have had their boobs done what was the recovery like? Any tips, dos or don'ts

Hi Timefor,,

I didn't want to let you hanging there as I was the same before I had mine and couldn't get much info, got mine done in 2016 after two kids, like you didn't want huge fake ones just wanted to fill them up again. I didn't need a lift etc, got 415cc implants, was absolutely shitting myself before the op, had never gone under general anestethic but it was fine, I literally was talking to the nurse then boom, I woke up with two beautiful boobies . The recovery was a doddle honest to god, I bought a post surgery sports bra, wore that for 3 weeks, they were slightly bruised and swollen the first week or so and actually one of my scars under the breast is still slightly raised and thick, maybe bad stitching on the surgeons behalf but you cant see it unless I am naked and raising my arms. I didn't take any strong mad medication after it , just a couple of Panadol, best of luck , I had mine over the muscle not under, and you might be the same considering you have had kids and prob have a bit of skin to work with, he said he usually puts them under the muscle in younger ladies, that haven't much breast tissue. Its meant to be an easier recovery if you get them over the muscle. Mine look and feel like real breasts, even the hubby said so, I was 30 getting them done.

Best of luck xxx

Thank you so much for the reply. I'll be getting either 400cc or 425cc and going under muscle. That's really reassuring about recovery time. DP has taken a week off work, to help with me and toddlers. School runs for DD being done by friends.
I haven't had general anaesthetic since I was a little girl so that's a worry but waking up with beautiful boobs sounds wonderful ☺️

I had mine done 10 years ago at 24. Luckily my recovery was very good - I had uplift and implants due to weight loss/loss of volume.
I took arnica tablets in the lead up so would recommend that, practical things like zip up tops/tops you can pull up. It just felt like I'd pulled the muscles in my chest so things like getting in and out of bed for the first few nights wasnt easy but if you prop yourself up and learn to shuffle on your bum/use your legs then you should be fine. I was back in work after 11 days (weekends and booked leave). I had my first night out with them about 3 weeks after Grin. I would recommend massaging them as much as possible as soon as you're allowed to, don't be scared - bio oil is good and is meant to reduce scarring. The GA knocked me for 6, I remember walking round the block for the first few days was a huge effort but it soon passed. Just felt very tired and bloated. Good luck!

Thank you, I'll buy some arnica tomorrow 😊

Has anyone on here had a boob uplift no implants? Wondering how successful it would be on my 30E cup boobs that just need uplifting not making bigger, I’m 48 , and they could just do with being a couple of inches higher.Breastfeeding DS ( now 20) plus weight gain and loss hasn’t done them much good.

timefor · 29/04/2019 21:25

Very reassuring and exciting @Whatisgoingonwithmylife Thank you xx

I've had mine done twice. Quick recovery both times. Under the muscle. Good luck 😊

timefor · 29/04/2019 22:40

Operation went well. 3-4 days of soreness, been fine since and haven't needed pain relief. Now I wait for the drop and fluff. Really happy so far with the results.

Ooh, this is a well timed thread, I've just decided to bite the bullet after dancing round the idea for the last 6 years since I had dc2. (Both dcs would only feed from one side so its considerably flatter than the other, I figured 6 years was long enough to give it to settle back)

I've been thinking through timings, while being off work, how hard was the recovery and likelihood of being able to look after 2 dcs (youngest 6 so not babies/toddlers needing lifting)?

I work in a school so thinking of timing during school holidays, assume dh needs to take the day off of the OP and the day after, but after that, am I likely to be able to function enough to look after the dcs?

How long after were you driving/able to walk say 0.5 miles? (Thinking I could book dcs into kids clubs, but while dh could pick up, I'd need to get them there on his normal work pattern)

OrdinarySnowflake · 18/05/2019 14:35

Also if any of you are in the south east, where did you have it done?

timefor · 18/05/2019 15:03

I was much the same after breast feeding my DC
I'm so happy to finally have full boobs again.

I needed help for 3 days getting dressed, etc. I organised friends to do the school runs for 4 days and I was driving after a week.

This is where I had it done in London after so much research. Very happy with my choice.
