Wedding Question... Hat or No Hat?

Its my brothers wedding soon.

I'll be wearing this

The wedding/reception is all late afternoon and evening so I know the etiquette is that a full hat is a no.. but I was wondering if I ought to wear a fascinator or something?

If so, can someone help me find something to go with the dress? I'm terrible at this stuff!

I never worn a hat or fascinator to a wedding!

To be honest, I think fascinators look silly.

*I’ve never, I mean.

I don’t think there’s any obligation to wear a hat or headpiece, but if you’d like to the right one would be a nice touch to the outfit

Hat if the men are in morning coats. Fascinators look silly on anyone over 17

Bit harsh and unnecessary to say fascinator look silly on anyone over 17 - people can wear what they like.

I do think though that if wearing a fascinator it needs to “be big or go home” - if too small, it can look a bit like a headband with roadkill on.

It needs to be a statement and actually some look fabulous
