John Frieda go blonder

Dd 14 has asked for highlights her once very blonde hair has gone much darker. I was wondering if it would be worth trying the John Frieda shampoo . Has anyone tried it ? This would be obviously much cheaper if it works.

Following - My worry is that it is like Sun in from the '80s. Orange hair.

Yes that's my worry. I confess I did use sun in and Lemon juice when I was her age before I forked out for high lights via a skull cap with holes

If she is happy with something 'slow' I use L'oreal Casting Sunkiss Jelly (applied on days I'm just hanging around at home normally) and it gives lovely natural highlights on my brown hair after a few careful applications. No orange hair!
I haven't used the shampoo but could be worth a try too.

The John Frieda shampoo does give quite a ... warm colour to the hair.

Thanks Koality I've just had a look at a YouTube review, the before pics look just like dds hair and after really nice colour so I will show her and see what she thinks.

DS used the John Frieda go blonder in shower treatment - worked like he'd been out in the sun. We topped up with the spray later which was very much like sun-in - except no orange. Now he didn't ever use a hairdryer so I can't vouch for that Grin but it certainly was very gradual as we added more.
