Clip on earrings

Where should I look please to find some clip-on earrings (my pierced holes have long closed up) to go with my new LTB on a posh night out with my DH? I'd usually wear a necklace but dress has a high neckline - see photo.

I've got very short grey cropped hair and don't suit warm colours or gold. I tend to prefer a more minimalist style of jewellery. Think a dangly style would be best but open to suggestions.

Google is your friend I think!

Sizeofalentil · 24/04/2019 20:25

I'd try eBay and see if you can get any vintage ones

Sizeofalentil · 24/04/2019 20:26

Think m&s or Claire's accessories does them too.

Blastandtroph · 24/04/2019 21:24

Sizeofalentil good idea about EBay. I'll have a look. M&S was quite limited and Claires range more suited to my DD.

John Lewis had a load about a year ago. Also TK Maxx but it's always random what's in there isn't it!

I think you mean "LBD", OP Smile

SmallAndFarAway · 24/04/2019 21:31

I got some from here previously, they are quite sore to wear though...

Blastandtroph · 24/04/2019 22:26

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie I'm hoping the dress and earrings don't lead to that outcome!

And Other Stories had some unusual dangly ones - plain and blingy. Hope you find some you like

Blastandtroph · 24/04/2019 22:31

Smallandfaraway thanks for the link. I like the milk stone earrings though agree the screw attachment looks like it might be uncomfortable.

Debenhams used to have quite a few

DustyMaiden · 24/04/2019 22:34

I got screw on for DGD they are comfortable because you tighten them as little or as much as you like. From Amazon

Blastandtroph · 24/04/2019 22:39

Thanks all. Heading into town tomorrow so will pop into Debenhams. Amazon didn't really have anything quite right.

MrsDrudge I had no idea. I like their clothes. I'll check them out too.

Found these on eBay. Favourite so far though not sure if they are classic enough to go with the dress? Heading off to bed but will resume search in the morning. Thanks for all your input.

Jewellers that sell second hand and antiques shops that have jewellery may have some. I have quite a few pairs that I inherited from elderly relatives which would have ended up in those sort of places had I not wanted them.

Blastandtroph · 25/04/2019 08:01

oobedobe
That's exactly what I was after. Thank you for sharing the link. I've ordered a couple of pairs of the tassel earrings.

SrSteveOskowski · 25/04/2019 10:19

I'm no help to you with the earrings, but I really laughed at your 'leave the bastard' dress Grin

evilharpy · 25/04/2019 10:28

Lovisa sells converters so you can wear pierced earrings.

This is showing prices in dollars but I'm sure I've seen them in the Cardiff shop.

Blastandtroph · 25/04/2019 11:41

@SrSteveOskowski I think it should be the recommended dress on here just for that very purpose, with associated clip on earrings of course! In all my years on here that was my first LTB Wink
