Botox

If I were going to start Botox, what should I do? I saw some amazing photos of an acquaintance lately who looks years younger, groomed and healthy; apparently all down to Botox! I am very tempted to have a go but where to start?

Bumping this because my forehead is like a tube map.

Talk to a good practitioner for advice first. Maybe tell us your area and people can recommend someone local. I would only ever have botox from a doctor in a specialist clinic, not from a nurse or beauty therapist, but other people might tell you something different.

I resisted botox for years thinking it wou,d make me look frozen and plastic. Eventually age related sagginess got me down and I visited the Dr Leah clinic in Moorgate, London for advice. Dr L wa so brisk and reassuring that I had botox on the spot and have never looked back. I’m not frozen or shiny looking, I just have nicely arched brows and lifted eyes making me look fresher and happier.

Thanks v much. Do you mind if so ask how did you find Dr Leah in the first place? I am also London-based but not sure where to start finding a practitioner other than by googling although that doesn't seem robust hence asking for personal experiences.

It was very random. I contacted loads of clinics asking for an appointment. Her clinic was the only one who responded and offered me a consultation with a doctor rather than a dentist or aesthetic practitioner. I went for the consultation and she was very honest about what was and wasn’t worth spending money on which reassured me. I’ve had a few treatments there now, some of which have worked better than others but I look much better than I did three years ago, but still natural.

I’m umming and aaahing over stomach fat freezing atm. It would be nice to move some of my menopausal bulge.
