I like the dress. Not sure on the shoes. But thats just me. I woulda gone slightly higher.
Wish i could get away with wearing a lovely dress like that.
I can't do dresses.
Don't suit.

smurfgirl · 14/07/2007 19:22

I can't do heels.

I shouldnt .When i do i am only out for couple hours and they start to hurt .
Never learn.
It's hard to find stuff to go with stuff for me.
I got a top today and do not know what to wear on bottom half.
Black top, just below the bottom, got dark ish jeans in the end.

Love the dress but not the shoes. I'd go for strappy open toes I think - you could get them with a low heel.

smurfgirl · 14/07/2007 19:35

motherfunk - i have a medical problem with my feet - i cannot wear heels - its not painful because they are cheap or i am not hardcore its painful because the bones in my feet do not support me properly

I don't mean to be funny but I know I cannot wear heels (it is about how my feet distribute weight), I can't wear any I know that for many people wedges are more comfy, for me they are not.

Those shoes are small kitten heels.

And I don't WANT to wear heels tbh I have no desire to really hurt myself and fuck up my feet more checking what I can and cannot wear.

Its what I am wearing full stop! It does look nice in person.
I look about 18, so with aged shoes I will even it out.

I can't afford new shoes, dress was £40.

I think the shoes are fine, they have a small heel and go well with the dress IMO.

Smurfgirl. I never wear heels either as tend to fall over.

I'd wear that with ballet pumps.

collisionfrances · 14/07/2007 20:18

Smurf....dont ask for opinions if you dont want negative ones!!

You asked what people thought and most said that a higher shoe would look nicer!

You should have posted....this is what I bought for my birthday and I think I will look fab!!

smurfgirl · 14/07/2007 20:45

I don't mind people saying they don't like the shoes (am now considering ballet pumps) but I get so frustrated constantly explaining why I cannot wear heels and then I go through that I can't wear wedges etc

Not really motherfunk sorry.

I didn't mean to shout but I do get annoyed trying to find nice dressy shoes that are not high and seem to spend a lot of time justifying myself when people pester me to wear heels.

I was worried that ballet flats would look dumpy. These shoes do look very nice in real life.

Pointy ballet pumps are less dumpifying (I find).

Wuxiapian · 14/07/2007 22:23

Both lovely items. You'll look great!

Wuxiapian · 21/07/2007 14:34

So, Smurf, how was your party and what did you wear in the end?
