Can you recommend a green colour corrector to tackle rosacea?

My 18yo DD has rosacea and uses a cheap Rimmel colour corrector which has worked so far but isn’t stocked by Boots anymore.
She asked me for suggestions for alternatives but since having clean nails, face and hair is about as far as my beauty regime goes, I suggested I throw it open to the experts of “Style and Beauty”!
Can you give me your best suggestions ladies please!

No help but following as I need similar. Foundation alone isn’t really enough for me now. I use Avene anti-rouges moisturiser and cleanser which are fab for sensitive rosacea skin, but haven’t done much for me in terms of colour correction.

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 15/04/2019 19:48

Clinique do a redness colour correcting foundation. Bit pricier than Rimmel but a little goes a long way. I like it makes me look a normal colour and you can go in and they try it in and give you a sample to take away.
If I am looking particularly red I put the Clinique green stuff under the foundation I am still using the sample of this haven’t bought it yet though and it makes such a huge difference to me.

Stila does a good one as part of a concealer palette. I picked one up in marks.

mommybear1 · 15/04/2019 19:52

NYC do a great colour corrector selection I use the pallet and then use some Bobbi Brown over the top if needed for more of a skin colour.

Have a look at Rosalique, it's about £25 a tube but it's very good coverage. It blends into a skin tone. You could use it without foundation. I think it's the best green concealer I have tried.

pisspawpatrol · 15/04/2019 19:56

I use a collection colour corrector. It's liquid so spreads and blends well.

FishFace2019 · 15/04/2019 19:59

NYC concealers are very good for the price, I agree.

SparklesandFlowers · 15/04/2019 20:01

I like Eucerin stuff, always found their concealer evens out the red well.

teta · 15/04/2019 20:02

Kalme chameleon concealer. It goes on green and as you pat it in it changes to skin colour. It’s brilliant and can be used on its own. It’s a range especially for Rosacea. I buy the concealer in the pack of creams/cleanser as it works out much cheaper.

Wonnacott35 · 15/04/2019 20:14

I know this isn't what she's asking but I've seen a massive improvement in my rosacea since I started using Drunk Elephants Marula Oil. It's not cheap but it last for ages

Missingthesea · 15/04/2019 21:10

I like the Clinique "Redness solutions" primer too. It's not a concealer, but works rather like an optical illusion Grin. I tried the Boots one, which was cheaper (and green) but the Clinique one makes my skin feel velvety.

ghislaine · 15/04/2019 22:45

I like Dr Jarts Cicapair concealer. It’s non irritating and changes to a skin tone. I buy mine off Amazon.

GVmama · 16/04/2019 07:01

I've tried loads and really like Rimmel Insta CC primer in green, it goes on nicely and counteracts the redness in my face without turning me grey, which some of the more heavy duty ones do.

I also use a concealer by Collection in 'lemon' (lasting perfection it's called) and that works well with a sponge, not so well with fingers, but together they do a fantastic job and it's just over a tenner for the two. I kno it's supposed to be green to counteract redness, but the lemon really works. Great reviews on the Superdrug website too.

I love the primer so much I cut the bottle open to get the dregs out, as I'm on holiday and can't buy any more!

JackieLavertyintheFreezer · 16/04/2019 07:35

I’m a “blusher”, so not quite the same thing, but I use Clinique anti redness followed by bareMinerals powder foundation. I find the green correctors make every look a bit ill!

LunaTheCat · 16/04/2019 07:50

I used the bare minerals green primer - it was brilliant!

Albgo · 16/04/2019 07:53

I can't afford Clinique etc, but really love this primer by Kiko

Albgo · 16/04/2019 07:55

Hmm, think I just posted a link to the entire website rather than the product? It's called Skin Tone Face Base and costs £9.99. It is a green primer. x

WhoEatsPopTarts · 16/04/2019 07:59

My 17 year old uses this mineral powder one, it works well is better for her skin I bought it for her after getting good results on my broken veins with it.

The Clarins green colour corrector is great. It’s not too thick, doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, smells good, and goes on smoothly under my foundation to reduce the redness. I use it every day now, although you do need a bit of foundation on top or you look a bit deathly.

321zerobaby · 16/04/2019 11:19

No advice for corrector sorry, but the Mumsnet advice for helping Rosacea worked perfectly for me. I asked my GP for Soolantra and I no longer have rosacea!
I read all the threads I could find on it and this came up so often as brilliant, I thought I'd give it a try.

RomanyQueen1 · 16/04/2019 11:24

Not a foundation recommendation, but pillows.
I bought some for curly girl method, but they have helped reduce mine and dh Rosacea.
I have no idea how or why but some advertise this.

RomanyQueen1 · 16/04/2019 11:25

Ha Ha, satin or silk pillow cases, ignore me not with it today.

Ynci · 20/04/2019 17:45

Many thanks guys for your suggestions. I have shown DD the thread and there are a number of routes she is going to give a go. Will report back if any have particular success!

I use a Max factor green concealing pencil it’s about £9 in boots. I use a heavy Rimmel foundation when I have an outbreak with lots of powder and little bronzer so I’m not adding more red.

Ourmaud · 20/04/2019 19:53

Dermalex from boots- amazing stuff
