Ugh. It's horrible, and has gotten worse. I do everything right- drink loads of water etc. I have tried nivea, aveeno, astral, sudocrem, E45 and coconut and almond oil.
Anyone know of anything that might help me?

My face was the same now I put a thin layer of vaseline on at night and now my face is so soft and no dry skin .

HJWT · 15/04/2019 16:31

@KissMeBunty I also use cetaphil! And a No7 exfoliator x

Shazafied · 15/04/2019 16:35

Cetaphil is great as it’s non irritating and non pore clogging . It’s more of a skin treatment cream than a “beauty product” so I tend to trust it more. I wouldn’t use anything else now. There are thicker and thinner creams - I think the night cream is one of the richest

I had this for a while in winter and saw a tip on reddit to layer serum and creams and use Nivea blue as last layer to lock in the moisture. It helped a lot although now my skin is much better. I use rosehip oil instead of serum.

Thank you all!

Hylauronic acid under your moisturiser and a weekly moisturising sheet mask are going to be your saviours

I went through a phrase of terribly dry skin on the face and the only thing that worked for me was aqueous cream and a homemade exfoliator of baking powder mixed with a bit of water.

I get the same, with acne break outs thrown in. I have been using drops of youth serum which has made a huge difference. You can get it on offer from body shop at home. I'm not a rep, I just really like the product.

wheresmymojo · 16/04/2019 07:28

My DH has the same and we are using a small amount of Vaseline before bed (recommended by the pharmacist) and so far it seems to be working

Buffyann · 16/04/2019 12:16

Eminence rosehip whip moisturiser helps with my dry skin.

Avene extremely compensating cream (not aveeno).
