Please tell me about comfortable bras

I hate bras, and if I didn't have saggy boobs I wouldn't never wear one.

Thought I'd fold the perfect seam free pull over your head bra and was horrified by a photo of myself where my boobs were closer to my belly than where they should be Hmm

I hate bra clips at the back and the back fat they give. But I need something supportive as I've had 5 children and they definitely need a lift.

Ideally it would be a pull on style or a front clip or anything that will hold my boobs up but doesn't resemble a braGrin

Please share!!

What is this thing of which you speak - a 'comfortable bra' ?

AD1104 · 13/04/2019 00:05

Have you tried molke? They sound like what you’re looking for - haven’t tried them myself yet but people rave about them.

firefirefire · 13/04/2019 00:08

Just realised how terrible my writing was in my original post! Not sure what happened there!

@ScreamingValenta I am starting to think they don't exist !!

Nope, not heard of Molke bras so going to look!

I have comfortable bras but I ( in my opinion) pay a kings ransom for them....

However, I am no longer of it off as soon as you come through the door brigade.

NaomifromMilkshake · 13/04/2019 00:11

That should read rip it off...as soon...

Legofriday · 13/04/2019 00:15

I'm still in my bravado seamless silk. I can sleep in them. But i know not everyone likes them. I love mine.

XXcstatic · 13/04/2019 00:27

What bra size are you? If you're an E cup with a narrow back, like me, give up now - comfort is for the less ample of nork, not for the likes of us Envy

YesQueen · 13/04/2019 00:33

I find Molke supportive and I'm a 34JJ

Have just ordered from lucky sew and sew (Etsy/Instagram) this set which should arrive soon

A well fitting bra gives minimal back fat.

XXcstatic - you almost definitely need a bra with a firmer band and much,, much bigger cups. I'm a size 12-14 and only moderately large of nork and around a 32GG/H. Only my oldest, saggiest, bras give back fat.

Nothing like the bra you are describing that you want , but it is the most comfortable bra I have ever owned . The wide back is so soft and no back fat :)

Kaz2200 · 13/04/2019 07:01

I've just bought the daisy nonwired bra from next and I am loving it I'm a 36F.

EngagedAgain · 13/04/2019 07:17

I am not large of nork, and find bra's uncomfortable, but only really since I put on weight, so for me it seems it's the fat under the boobs which causes the problem. As I am losing weight I hope it will improve. The style of bra has remained unchanged, and I find balcony or T shirt bra's best, even cheap ones. I have got a wireless pull on type, but even that gets uncomfortable.

EngagedAgain · 13/04/2019 07:26

Also fit is the key because for years I was wearing a 38B and one day went to a big store and the fitter took one look at me (no measuring) and gave me 34D or DD, sloggi, no wire. It was quite a revelation! They were great for a couple of years, but sometimes you need to change.

CQCnamechange · 13/04/2019 07:29

Tesco do a wireless soft bra with some shape to them. About £8 or £10. They are brilliant x

XXcstatic · 13/04/2019 07:59

Thanks for the suggestions, and I don't mean to derail. My problem is that I am a 30E (have been measured in Rigby & Peller) - almost all bras with DD+ cups start at a 32.

StarlightLady · 13/04/2019 08:00

Gossard used to (?) do a front fastener called a glossy, you might still be able to pich them up on Ebay etc.

Front fasteners don’t really work though because they are not adjustable.

Bagpuss5 · 13/04/2019 08:09

I wear this sexy little number, mainly for the wide straps. The bra is fabric rather than elastic so lasts forever and a day, some of mine are prob 10 years old. Has wide back to reduce lines.
But the straps are unadjustable so it either fits or it doesn't.

By the way the skintone colour is very dark.

KatharinaRosalie · 13/04/2019 08:18

OP have you tried Boob or Bust on facebook to check fit? If your bras are all super uncomfortable, it's most likely a size issue.

XXcstatic there are many shops that sell 30E - have you tried Brastop and Bravissimo? Or ebay, it currently shows over 4000 bras in 30E. www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.X30E+bra.TRS0&_nkw=30E+bra&_sacat=0

teta · 13/04/2019 09:28

The comfiest bra I wear is the Sloggi Zero feel bralette. There’s no itchy seams or fastenings. I find the shape of the padding means it’s pretty supportive and gives a natural shape under tops.
I have always hated wearing bras as well. When young I rarely wore one but now 4 kids later I have to. Better fitting bras are still mighty uncomfortable to me and like a straitjacket.

fishonabicycle · 13/04/2019 11:36

I've found one! M&S padded but not underwired. I got one in sort of beige and am going to get a black one too. I can't even bear to wear any of my old ones after wearing this one - it's so comfy, and gives me a good shape too.
