Under-eye concealer

Never worn it in my life as foundation was sufficient but now I am knocking on 50's door my under eye looks terrible! Dark circles and any attempt to cover up with looks worse. They all seem to be the wrong consistency (chalky), sit in my lines, and then wears off in 5 minutes.

Has anyone had any success they can pass on? I am looking a bit haggard Wink

Bobbi Brown’s colour corrector changed everything for me. I went to a BB store to get matched to a foundation and they used this and a concealer on me while redoing my makeup. I was so shocked by the difference that I bought it there and then. You’re supposed to use a small amount of regular concealer on top but the CC does most of the work.

It’s creamy and you set it with a powder. Lasts all day for me and transforms my deep-set shadowy eyes. I’d recommend you go to a BB store and ask them to try it on you.

I use Becca under eye corrector which is really creamy almost liquid. As it’s so creamy it doesn’t seem to settle in my fine lines. You only need a small amount but it is amazing for dark circles. I just let it dry and then finish off with mac studio fix power foundation.

Another one here for Becca.

Bye Bye Undereye by IT Cosmetics is amazing. Covers dark circles and doesn't settle in lines.

I had high hopes for the Bobbi Brown colour correcter and concealer but it settles in creases quite quickly.

Charlotte Tilbury one is good, but runs out very quickly.

Having the same problem finding an under eye concealer. Still think I’m young (well not that young...) but have a heart shaped face and slightly sloping down eyes, which means huge wrinkles every time I smile.

Concealers never seem to stay put, or are really heavy and chalky. Just bought two new ones to try and both are bad :( That was after lots of consideration by the reps on the counters so am losing hope!

If no one has an easy answer, please could you maybe say which make up brands at least are focused on older customers? I’m in my 30s but the Selfridges and John Lewis counters all seem geared towards glamorous faces, not haggard daytime faces! Have ordered some Glossier so will see how that fares...

Have so far tried.....

Bobby Brown Creamy Concealer kit (small box with one pot of creamy concealer and one of powder). Heavy and patchy, annoyingly also not very durable

Dior Fix It Correcteur. Sort of feeling this one is a joke, looks like a lipstick but is a concealer with a strand of vit E running through it. Better than Bobby in how it settles but again quite chalky with any types of powder.

YSL highlighter - used to use by mistake (!), too light and pinky tone.

Chanel Lumiere Velvet - a small tub of liquid. Maybe because it’s lighter than a cream, it sits very well. But then dries out my eyes into the afternoon...

I think I’ve tried the lot! Have had dark circles FOREVER 🙁
I’ve had luck with the becca one but only on top of a good concealer rather than instead. My fave raves are mega cheap or super pricey! By Terry is very good but pricey.

Collection is awesome and dirt cheap. See number 3 www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/fashion/2015/jun/26/50-best-beauty-buys-under-20-pounds-sali-hughes

Either way set with powder and make sure you brighten with concealer the sides of your nose by your eyes. Makes a massive difference. X

Try tarte shape tape. I have the worst dark circles because I am very pale. This is the best I've used and stays put all day. Very heavy duty!
