Apologies for the scary blacked-out eyes in the photos Blush

I’ve always struggled to style the front of my hair. I know it’s silly but it gets me down. My hair is very fine and I think I have a double cowlick and a widows peak. If I part it in the centre (as in one of the photos) I get two annoying bumps. If I part it on the right, I seem to have very little hair in one corner (see photo) for some reason. If I part it on the left (not pictured) it is very heavy and lies flat against my head on both sides. It just won’t seem to lie in any kind of nice way.

I generally wear it parted left of centre, or to the left but diagonally. But it goes flat very quickly after drying. The morning after blow drying it, the cowlick appears again. I hate it Sad it’s exacerbated by the fact my hairdresser recently cut the front parts shorter than I’d asked for.

Can anybody offer any wisdom on the best way to style the front of my hair? I like it straight but with a little bit of volume. It’s shoulder length, and is supposed to be all one length except for the annoying front layers the hairdresser gave me Angry

I should add that the photos are from a day after washing and blow drying. Don’t think I’ve brushed my hair today Blush

Have you tried pinning it back?

Manyariver · 11/04/2019 20:48

I don’t like pinning or tying my hair back. I don’t think it suits me and I find it uncomfortable.

A fringe would mean the parting was less important.
Or extensions to thicken.

Prefer it to the side
Could you try some dry shampoo as it might thicken it up and maybe so colour wow on the roots
Not every day but if your going out or something as that will hide the thiness at the roots

I have a cowlick and have recently rediscovered how nicely it works with a flick fringe. Thankfully the 80s is back!

Batiste do a great thickening dry shampoo, it's ace.
