men in baseball hats.... good look or bad look?

DH needs, or thinks he needs, a hat for our short break in barcelona next months.

I think baseball caps are an extremely bad look when teamed with cropped trousers and bare feet with sandals.

Am I right? And what would be a viable alternative to baseball caps?

straw cowboy hats (or anythign with a wide brim) are actually much mroe flattering as they make the jaw seem slimmer

and they pack nice and flat
would not especially advise camouflage though
