Best/most hydrating moisturiser

I've started using retinol. My skin is dry and flaking. Google tells me this is normal as my skin adjusts and to use a decent moisturiser. Atm I am using Aldi Q10 which is just not cutting it.

I want something super hydrating, preferably a night cream. The budget is limited (£10-15 would be best or less) but if there is a truly amazing cream that I simply cannot live without I could stretch to £35.

I've tried Google but almost all products have raving, detailed, scientifically in-depth, five star reviews almost as if someone has been paid to write them....

I found the Caviar cream really strong and it made my eyes water!

I'm going to try the Superdrug essence cream mentioned,I've put it on my list!

I alternate between any old cheapo night cream (currently the Garnier lifty red tub) Weleda skin food and Nivea blue pot. You don't need to spend on moisturiser. I used to love treating myself to L'Occitane Divine- did it do the job any better? Nope. I have dry skin anyway but also do glycolic toning, retinol and Vit C.

Eucerin 5% urea face cream is my go to for dryness issues. Never fails when my skins in a state.

Cerave. I used this when I used to use Retin-A. It's amazing and full of loads of fantastic ingredients.

In a total emergency when it's not enough LRP Cicaplast.

Second the suggestion to supercharge your night cream by mixing with an oil. The Ordinary B Oil is fantastic for night time. Add a thin layer of Vaseline over the top to trap the moisture against your skin and you will wake up glowing.

I really like the eucerin 5% urea and first aid beauty ultra repair cream. I'm using Retin-a, and need something really moisturising, but my skin does not get on with anything too heavy feeling, one of these layered with some hyaluronic acid serum do the job really well.

I can only use Aldo creams below my cheekbones , when my sweaty menopausal head has a flush it gets into my eyes and it bloody stings

Night time I use the M&S one (purple jar , looks like you've had 8 hours sleep)

DD has dry sensitive skin, she's using Sukin and Aveeno on really dry bits
