Has anyone got this? I'm thinking of getting one. What do you think? Does it work and how does it work? Tia

I have one I think it's really good! It's like a mini lady shaver uses batteries I think but I've never had to replace them

Bluesheep8 · 05/04/2019 05:56

Thank you, do you use it on your face? I was hoping to use it for upper lip and chin

TheMarbleFaun · 05/04/2019 07:47

Yes you can use it all over your face

Bluesheep8 · 05/04/2019 11:11

Great, I'm going to get one, does it cause any kind of stubbly regrowth though? I'm currently using one of those coiled spring threader things and it's time consuming, painful and not as effective as I'd like

Thanks for your replies btw

Just looked on boots where it is a fiver cheaper but has bad reviews!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 05/04/2019 12:29

It's just a razor so will cut off hair bluntly, so re growth will be stubbly just like a normal razor.

TheMarbleFaun · 05/04/2019 17:00

I’ve never had stubble!
I am quite fair though

goose1964 · 05/04/2019 21:30

I love it you can use it daily if you need, about once a week is enough for me.

TheMarbleFaun · 06/04/2019 08:38

Once every few weeks is enough for me

Palominoo · 06/04/2019 08:58

Can you use it on your nether regions?

On short regrowth, obviously.

Fazackerley · 06/04/2019 08:59

It's a razor so will act like a razor but won't be as effective

Bluesheep8 · 06/04/2019 11:45

Used it this morning and it is honestly the BEST £20 I have ever spent. I don't know how it works as it's a circular spring shaped thing and you use it in a circular motion. Its also totally painless, didn't feel a thing. Did my upper lip and chin. Every hair gone. Am so impressed!

OP posts:
Fazackerley · 06/04/2019 12:07

It's a small electric razor

Fazackerley · 06/04/2019 12:11

I don't think I've ever seen ANYTHING on the Argos website that has less than 4.5 out 5 reviews!!

Bluesheep8 · 06/04/2019 15:59

Well I'm impressed with it whatever it is. I was using one of those coiled spring threading things every day and it was SO painful. You could HEAR the hairs being ripped out. Way more painful than professional threading but it was an unfortunate necessity with pake skin and dark hair with facial hair increasing rapidly (mid 40s)

Why won't it be as effective as a razor if it IS a razor though?

OP posts:
Fazackerley · 06/04/2019 16:02

because a dry electric razor doesn't shave as close as a wet manual razor

Fazackerley · 06/04/2019 16:03

Lumea is your friend.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 06/04/2019 16:03

I bought one recently. Love it, and the stubble is a lot less than I expected. It's basically just a mini phillishave
In fact I've just tidied up the bathroom cabinets and thrown out my facial bleach and creme hair remover.
I use mine on top lip and round chin.
I still pluck out the big dark bristly ones, but the shaver thingy deals with all the fine but long blonde ones

Bluesheep8 · 06/04/2019 16:20

Thanks for clarifying fazackerley I see what you mean now. To be honest, I hated the idea of actually shaving and didn't realise (stupidly) that that was what this was. But I was getting so conscious of dark facial hair, so much so that I was finding myself starting to put my hand over my mouth when talking to people close up, that something I could do at home, that wasn't too ££ had to be found!

OP posts:
Fazackerley · 06/04/2019 16:30

I am the queen of dark facial hair (sadly)

proper shaving and the lumea has got rid of 95% of it, just a few stubborn ones left.

Bluesheep8 · 07/04/2019 08:44

I feel your pain fazackerley. I've got very dark almost black hair and very pale skin. In recent years huge thick hairs seem to spring out of nowhere on my upper lip and really long coarse ones on my jaw and chin. There are even two pesky ones that appear on my neck! Because I'm so fair skinned and the hairs are so dark it's really noticeable. Hoping I've found the solution now as that springy threading thing was just too painful and I was having to do that every day plus tweezers for the ones it didn't catch.

OP posts:
Bluesheep8 · 07/04/2019 08:49

palominoo i dont see why you couldnt use it elswhere if it's designed for the face, it should be fine.
