I’ve got horrible skin on my shins and it’s making me feel self conscious. They look like giraffe print Grin
I’ll try and add a picture in another comment, it’s not uploading in my op...

I have the exact same. What works for me is making sure to exfoliate and moisturise. Mine are worst after shaving.

I make my own in-shower moisturising scrub using coconut oil and sugar and a few drops of essential oil for fragrance. Soften the coconut oil then add sugar until you’ve got the consistency you like. I keep it in shower in a plastic screw top container.

Also try an oil based moisturiser or straight coconut oil. The other thing is to apply an oil, like a baby oil, to damp skin as soon as you’re out of the shower before you dry off.

exfoliate and moisturise, it's the only way ime AND use different types of cream. This is one of my weird theories, but I think your skin gets "immune" to the same thing all the time. I always have a few products on the go. Aveeno almond or i love their oil spray, a few perfumed lotions that match my perfume or really any random thing I find ...ends of pots of face cream, old sun tan lotion

I think if you use the same thing you skin stops getting the benefit. And you get shiny paper skin as it stops working properly.

Thanks, Sorry to hear I’m not alone but at least you’ve given me some advice!
I exfoliated and shaved then moisturised this evening but I’ll try and make sure I use and oil based product and rub it in while the skin is still wet.

I agree exfoliate & moisturise, I use nuxe dry oil and it works great on me

Ohyesiam · 03/04/2019 22:06

Coconut oil. It’s called crocodile skin in our house.

3dogsnorth · 03/04/2019 22:21

Can definitely recommend Superdrug vitamin e body cream. Great big tub for about £3 and gets rid of that crocodile skin! And it's paraben free and cruelty free, not tested on animals

CakeNinja · 03/04/2019 22:31

Crocodile skin sounds about right! So
Flattering Grin
Will get some more coconut oil, think I’ve got a little bottle of that nuxe oil from an advent calendar knocking about in a drawer so I’ll have a look for that. And also try and get myself to Superdrug.
Thank you all Flowers

I get that too. Try the eucerin 10% urea cream, it's marvellous for scaly skin!

CakeNinja · 04/04/2019 07:07

Thanks, I’ve just ordered it on amazon :)

Mine used to be like that. It started after a bad sunburn.
