Help me buy something beautiful

Help please!

A very dear friend has suffered a horrible bereavement and I want to buy her something beautiful so that every time she uses it she remembers how loved she is.

It needs to be practical and not too fussy, suitable for someone with a busy life and two small kids who is a camper/hill walker etc.

I am thinking a really luxurious cashmere scarf or a similar. But where does someone find such a thing??

Best colours for her are deep reds, greens and navy.

Thanks!

Hopeful bump for the evening crowd?

That’s so thoughtful.
My friends and I chipped together and bought my friend (after a very tragic loss) vouchers for travel. That we she was able to use them when she felt ready to make new memories.

Have a look at Turtle Doves.

Cashmere is lovely, but it’s nit very hardwearing and needs careful washing, so it might not be the most practical thing for camping or someone with small children. I have/do both these things, and I always like the look of the blankets in National Trust shops here

You're right about cashmere - I just want to get her something beautiful that makes her feel loved and adored. And something she would never get herself.

I do want it to be an 'everyday' item so she gets a little dab of love regularly.

She is very very special to me.

You sound like a fabulous friend. Maybe just go for the cashmere after all. Smile

I love the tartan blanket co, we have 2 and they are my go to gift. You can even have initials embroidered on if appropriate. You sound like a lovely friend.

The tartan blanket co are just perfect! The reversible one is out of stock ☹️ but will calm them tomorrow otherwise think a tartan/check one will do.

Do you think the initials will stand out enough on a not plain one?

P.S. she is totally worth it!

Willowcashmere.com stuff is amazing, I have a massive taupe coloured tasseled wrap/scarf from their which I wore most days and was great for travelling... until it was comandeered by my 2 year old as her bedtime blanket 🙄. What I can tell you though (after it was vomited on last week...) is that it washes beautifully on a normal wool wash and dried really quickly too.

I spotted this one which is in the right colour palette?

How about a pure silk pillowcase, cashmere bed socks and a lovely pillow spray (Temple Spa do a wonderful one). Everytime she gets into bed she will feel cosseted.

I have a tartan one with kids initials and it’s lovely
