Beautiful changing bag recommendations please

After years of using the changing bag that came with my lo’s pram I want to switch it up. I’ve googled myself into a frenzy and just caused more confusion and indecisiveness, so I’m hoping some first hand recommendations will help.

I would like something that looks more like a handbag than a baby bag now that lo is 6, I feel like I’ve served my time with stain resistant materials Grin. It needs to have a cross body strap, and I’d like normal straps too. It needs to hold at least 7 nappies, wipes, large changing mat, change of clothes (sometimes 2 changes), medicines and the usual cup/snack paraphernalia. I’d also like it to be beautiful.

Moon on a stick, maybe?

I got this 3 years ago. Still as new despite daily use and it will be used for a good while yet as I’ve just had another baby. It’s lovely soft leather. Pricey but cost per wear is probably nothing by now and it can be used as a normal bag once toddler years are over.

If you want something beautiful and practical and aren't too limited on price you should look at the ones made from wrap fabric like those from firespiral or oscha

Just buy a nice bag. And your child is 6?

Una I do like wrap bags, but I feel like I’d be constantly worried about it being rained on, getting caught on something and pulling etc. VERY pretty to look at though!

palominoo now that is very pretty, but I think it’s just a bit wee for what I need. Thank you.

Shnitzel I had thought about that but I think I still need the added compartments that come with a changing bag, particularly for storing lo’s medicines.

Yep lo is 6 so that adds a level of difficulty as all her things are bigger, clothes/nappies/amount of wipes I need to carry etc. We just about manage with what we have now, but I yearn for something pretty that I can enjoy as well.

I got a lot of compliments on my Storksak. I'm now using a Sweaty Betty workout backpack (easier as LO is walking) and it's just so, so beautiful. And huge!

I quite like the look of this one

BuntyCollocks · 01/04/2019 18:46

Look at the babybeau Sophia. I’ve got
The Eden I think, which is ancient but still going strong as a beautiful leather handbag.

Mominatrix · 01/04/2019 18:56

Why not just use a normal bag and get a bag organiser to keep things in their place? I used a Birkin as my changing bag at this stage.

Ninkaninus · 01/04/2019 23:13

I’d get a large Longchamp Pliage tote. They do them in pretty patterns too.

Or just a nice big roomy leather bag. No one’s saying it has to be an actual changing bag! Smile

I have this, the Kerikit Joy XL backpack and love it! kerikit.com/product/joy-xl-taupe

I have this one too but find I don’t use it as much as the backpack: www.borninbritain.com/shop/charlton-hobo They also have a tote that looks great!

I also occasionally use my Longchamp Le Pilgage with a compartment divider inside.

I love my Storksak storksak.com/product/elizabeth-leather-tan now I don't need it as a changing bag any more I use it for college, it still looks like new(ish) 6 years on!
