Shoes, shoes, shoes...Spring/summer...what to wear? Smart and casual please.

Badly need to update, feel stuck in the 90's. ( I try to tell myself that my 'old shoes will do' but don't shoes really date an outfit)

Links for current trends for shoes would be really appreciated including what to wear them with (skirts, dresses, trousers, jeans).

I wear 'smart' ( usually heels) for work, never sure what I wear for a casually smart night out and jeans for casual day.

Love an eBay bargain, hate paying full price for most things!

Thank you!

I'm 5ft 2 and a size 4.

ASOS ones are very lovely, but much too high for me, I'd feel, out of proportion! All feet! and would fall off them.... And be taller than my partner
I do have some wedge espadrilles - feel a bit summery yet. Couldn't wear them for work though.

I think I wanted more of a 'go to' updated style. I've been wearing ankle boots and black tights ( for casual) , new for me with my dresses. I think I want something to replace this 'look'.

Il get back to you with links Smile
I should have been a personal shopper haha

I'd look at the websites where you usually buy clothes, or like their 'look' and see what styles of shoes are being worn as a start. Maybe look on Instagram for ideas that go with your usual clothing?

RaggieDolls · 29/03/2019 18:35

Same question! Hate this in between weather footwear wise.

I have a pair of Adidas Gazelles which are fine for a few very casual look. Need something a bit smarter though really.

Brogues seem to be in fashion sorry I’m not sure how to link! I see a lot of people wearing them from brands such as s Oliver in a bronzey colour with a small wedge and laces.

I also wear pointed flats and ankle grazer jeans/trousers for a night out. For casual, always trainers in summer with jeans. I've got metallic Reebok Classics for this year as well as black leather Converse, some white Adidas Miss Stans, some bronze New Balance, and a pair of black and white Nikes. I do have some tan leather brogues but honestly they haven't come out in a couple of years. I also have rose gold Saltwater sandals which I wear with maxi skirts and dresses.

White trainers are definitely on trend.
I have a few pairs of trainers which I find I'm wearing much more these last few weeks as weather has got warmer. I've been living in my DM's until fairly recently.

I like pointed flats, they are great with boyfriend jeans or cropped trousers. I get some from Primark every year the same style and they are so versatile.

These are my favourite shoes at the moment https://www.hush-uk.com/footwear2/footwear/trainers/hevercanvastrainerswhite_multi.htm
I have the ones with the stripe and the plain white ones and they look great with jeans, dresses and skirts.
