What style for a mature student- nursing

Thank you- I recently posted asking for advice on what to wear to an interview. I got in- and am now wondering how to update my wardrobe for September when I am a mature student of Nursing- mental health.
I’m 41 with older and younger kids and time will be very much of the essence when I’m at uni. I have no style to speak of... large boobs and a real mummy tummy which I’d hope to have lessened by then. I’m currently trying to lose some weight but realistically I will be a 36G on top and possibly around a 16 on the bottom- fatter stomach and slimmer legs. Tall- 5 ft 7/8. Good points are my boobs (some people think!) and my skin is nice too. Bad points definitely stomach.
Currently a jegging and oversized top type of person. Black, dull colours mostly. Prefer to blend in than stand out. No high heels and no makeup/girly stuff at all. More a jeans and converse wannabe type.
All advice gratefully received though. I’d like to have a style.

I’m a lecturer - although not in nursing - and mature students dress any which way, as do the younger students. Some are smarter than me, the majority are in jeans/tops/trainers or flat shoes. Jeggings and tops will be fine. A lot of the female students (of all ages) wear short-ish skirts with opaque tights and trainers, or cropped wide-leg trousers, plus a jumper. Skinny jeans are still popular. Coat-wise, just now still parkas and faux furs, but over the next few weeks that will change to leather bikers and denim. Our students are expected to bring laptops or tablets, because course materials go on a virtual learning environment instead of handouts, so backpacks are common. Lots of my students use Kankens, and some of the girls carry nice big leather tote bags.

I teach a creative subject so tend not to be very formal, but colleagues who teach things like law or accountancy are much smarter. I see few female lecturers in heels - even our principal always wears flats.

Just wear what you feel comfortable in. Jeans and converse is absolutely fine.
If you don't wear uniform on placement (we do in my trust but most mental health trusts have done away with them) then I'd scope out your placement prior to going and see what others are wearing.

You might be surprised how many mature students are on your course too, especially mental health.

Thank you. Slightly relieved I don’t need a massive wardrobe overhaul, slightly disappointed I still won’t have a “look”. You know, like you can see and outfit and think “that’s so Mary”... well I don’t think there is any look that people would associate with me. Other than a bit bedraggled! 😂
