Can anyone recommend a good one? I've used the Liz Earle, which I liked, wanted to try others, loved the boots no7 but they discontinued it. Used the N Spa one for about a year, thought I'd try another one as better for your skin to change products sometimes, bought the Superdrug vitamin E one, I liked it but have broken out in a lot of spots since using it so guess I won't buy that one again.

I like the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm but I'm using Eve Lom at the moment. It's nice, it has a grainy texture then emulsifies on your skin and is quite moisurising. My skin is really dry at the moment so I find it's best if I use a moisturiser or face oil immediately afterwards.

And yet another vote for the Aldi version. And their serums and creams are great, too.

Bangingdoors · 22/03/2019 16:37

I love Eve Lom too and Pestle and mortar which I find similar both pricey but I find they do much more than just cleanse my skin.

fishonabicycle · 22/03/2019 17:00

Both the superdrug ones are good, as is the Aldi one. All very cheap.

Merumaya cleansing balm is awesome. It smells amazing, and is as good as, if not better than, the Emma Hardie Moringa Balm, but is much cheaper (£18). Available from Merumaya website (where they are offering 15% off this weekend) or (I think) John Lewis.

I used to try all different balms but this is now a repeat buy for me.

Ledkr · 22/03/2019 17:06

I love Eve Lom. Just for the smell alone.

LHMB · 22/03/2019 17:09

Think I'll make a list and give them all a go at some point. Thanks everyone :)

Yes I love the Elemis Rose Cleansing Balm! I use it as my second evening cleanse and find it a real treat.

IheartCaptainHolt · 22/03/2019 19:32

Another vote for the Aldi one. I buy two whenever I see them as they are so cheap!

frugalkitty · 22/03/2019 19:33

I love the Elemis balm, it emulsifies and washes off or can be flanneled off depending on preference, not a fan of the rose one though. Agree that the Waitrose one is grainy. I liked the boots Botanics one but it was a small pot.

SpongeBoobBigPants · 22/03/2019 19:40

I really love Eve Lom too; ridiculously expensive, however, you only need a teeny amount as it melts down on your skin so a tub for me lasts absolutely ages. It's also the only thing I've found for removing eye make-up that doesn't make my eyes stream for hours.

Shitonthebloodything · 22/03/2019 20:38

I just got a couple from beauty pie this week (waited forever for everything to come back in stock so did mass order!) - the plantastic and Japan fusion ones, both feel lovely and skin felt and looked much cleaner than with the Aldi one I've been using for the last year.

Gentlemanwiththistledownhair · 22/03/2019 20:47

I use Nivea cleanser (actually the 2in1 cleanser toner) as my hot cloth cleanser. It's lovely and light so doesn't clog up my oily skin but creamy enough to get rid of the makeup. And pretty much always on offer somewhere so only costs a couple of quid.

I used to like the boots no7 one, but had to buy the Nivea in an emergency and never went back!

BrieAndBread · 22/03/2019 21:03

Another vote for Emma Hardie Morniga balm 🥰 I love it. It’s £48 though so I tend to wait for a 20% off event and buy two.

They last me 6-9 months because I then use that one at night time and use Aldi one in the morning.

Aldi one is brilliant also but I can’t quite stop using the EH one.

VanGoghsDog · 22/03/2019 21:26

The REN one is like the No7 but a bit lighter. I like it better.

Popuppippa · 22/03/2019 21:46

I think I love the Eve Lom one because of the smell. I use a muslin dipped in very hot water and steam my face for a moment with it. Agree with SpongeBobBigPants that you only need a very small amount. I bought the very small travel size to try and it has lasted a couple of months so far and I've only just used half of it.

Tell me about the Emma Hardie one - does it smell lovely? I double cleanse in the evening and I love the ritual of a nice hot cloth cleanser.

goose1964 · 22/03/2019 21:49

Bee good honey and propolis is amazing, smells delicious too

BrieAndBread · 22/03/2019 22:18

@goose1964 I love the Bee Good range. Their daily moisturiser is amazing.

Winenotttea · 22/03/2019 22:54

Another vote here for the M&S one

LHMB · 22/03/2019 23:41

So many to try. I love trying new beauty products, so will look forward to trying out all your suggestions

Balance Me have one.

chesterfuckingdraws · 22/03/2019 23:49

Ole Henriksen is amazing doesn't leave your skin feeling stripped/dry-think it's only available at boots in the UK just now.

Eve lom is my other favourite, it's pricey but my really fussy skin loves it

Bluesheep8 · 23/03/2019 08:04

I've used LE for over 15 years. I know there are others out there plus dupes but I stick with LE and refuse to use anything else. I do like trying the different variations of it when she brings them out though.

GPatz · 23/03/2019 08:10

I use LE because they don't test on animals. Does anyone know if the Aldi one does the same?

GPatz · 23/03/2019 08:12

That was lazy of me. I just Googled. They don't test on animals. Heads off to Aldi
