Shaving head and wearing wigs?

I have dyed my hair black for around 15 years and have had enough of black. I think it would take at least a year to grow all the black out. Seriously considering shaving off my hair and wearing wigs until its grown back long enough to style as such. Has anyone done this?

You look good with short hair. Not that many people do so you are very lucky.
