LED light therapy

Has anyone tried any LED light therapy lamps before? A family member is considering buying one but I wondered if they actually work. She was hoping to improve her rosacea but had also read they can help with anxiety and depression. She's considering this one which has yellow, red and blue light but at £250 it's far from cheap!

I think IPL definitely helps with Rosacea but I don't think the light therapy lamps do, a course of IPL, Soolantra, Dove sensitive cleanser and cutting out red wine helped improve mine.

Thanks I'll say to her to look into IPL. I know she was reluctant in the past as she thought it would be too harsh.

Have you looked into the led masks, some people on a thread on here say their acne has gone after using the masks which have a variety of lights, red.yellow, green purple etc, for different problems
They can be bought on Ebay and Amazon
I have one and although i dont actually have skin problems, my skin does look better and clearer after using it,

Thanks @princessTiasmum. I had a look at the masks on amazon and they're not as expensive as the lamp so a good idea

I was on the same thread as princess but have now name changed Grin I have a £50 mask from amazon that really has helped with my acne scarring and my skin looks much more soft and springy!!

I had only used mine a couple of times but my daughter was so impressed she ordered one that day
The only thing is you have to find time to sit still with it on[oh and make sure no one is around ]lol

Oh wow, might get one myself! Thanks I'll look into them for my cousins rosacea.

It's proven to work on acne. Red and blue for calming inflammation and healing. Not sure about rosacea though.

The three clinically proven wavelengths are Blue(425nm), Red (633nm) and Near infrared (830nm). Most of the cheaper options dont include the NIR - which actually offers advanced repair a d rejuvenation - it calms redness and helps to reduce pigment.

They do work and it would be sound investment.
