Help please-how soon after having foils can I lighten again?

Advice appreciated - I've had foil highlights done on long hair that's in good condition. I believe bleach with 10 vol developer was used. The effect is very subtle, and I'd like to go a bit lighter again (maybe 1-2 levels). I know I should ask the hairdresser, but I'd appreciate if anyone can advise what are the general rules on carrying out more lightening. My hair's still in great condition. Thank you.

Hi there! Im a hairdresser.
Going lighter is a very gradual process, if your hairdresser had put a stronger peroxide on it would have caused noticable damage.
Its best not to force hair to lighten in a short space of time. Stick with your appointments and within the next two appointments you will see a difference each time and be grateful you were patient! Also inbetween use a silver shampoo- no blonde shampoo that sometimes has yellow pigments in. Silver shampoo is purple/blue based, using this will help the process of going lighter too but dont other use maybe once or twice a week and invest in a good conditioner! X

Thank you. I tried a new salon and we didn't mention any further colouring. My hair had some sun lightening before the appointment, and the new highlights do look like how the sun affects my hair, so it's like I've had a nice long holiday abroad. I'd like to go lighter again if it's safe.

The colour looks lovely.
If you want to go lighter then return to salon in 6-8 week (gives time for your hair to recover) even though it feels super great its still had a chemical through it. Next time you vist the salon explain you love the colour you currently are but maybe lighten you slightly 1-2 levels. They will probably do hi lites (foils) and apply a toner too just to cancel any brasiness. Good luck xox
