Does this hair style exist?

I never get my hair cut and I’ve neglected it.
I’m starting to feel a bit frumpy and my hair is the first thing on my list to sort.

I’m early 30’s, short, roundish face which is not as slim as I’d like but have maybe half a stone to lose which usually comes straight off my face.

I’m dark haired and never wear my hair up.

It’s quite fine but there is a lot of it. It’s naturally straight and lacks volume.

My last hair cut was last November and I had long layers. Standard haircut which looks neat for a few weeks but doesn’t really do anything for me.

What I really want is a haircut that -

Is no shorter in length than my shoulders

Is flattering to my round face

Is a little bit punky

Easy to style

What you go for is intensely personal to you, but I just put "shoulder length punk hair" into Pinterest and got lots of images of heavy fringes and lots of layers that look razor cut. They meet the description but probably require quite a lot of effort. If you can manage that, you'll find lots of inspiration out there.

Princess - I didn’t think of that. Will have a look. Sounds like the sort of thing I might like to try.

I’d love to try a fringe but never had one.
Is there a way to know if it will suit me and I won’t regret it and be trying to grow it out for the next few years?

I have a blunt cut, chin length bob with a heavy fringe. To rock it up a little, I have an undercut at the back, dyed in a different colour. It's only visible when I have my hair up but I love it!

Is your hair currently long enough that you could bring up the ends and fake a fringe (perhaps put the length in a messy bun and keep the ends out?) I can't think of another easy way to try a fringe for real. How are your photoshop skills? Do you have a stylist you could discuss options with?
