Stuck in a make up rut!

Am keen to update my look as I've been using the same make up routine for years.
In my 40's, skin changing - more prone to breakouts Hmm and just feel my skin looks dull.
I want to look young Grin fresh and dewey. I haven't a clue what to do about blusher/colour as have just been sweeping a bronzing brush around the general cheekbone area for as long as I can remember.
I did invest in a highlighter thingy which sometimes makes me a look a bit less tired, but still not happy with the end result.
So hit me with your best buys please!

I use the blush, bronzer and highlighter from this urban decay palette whenever I wear makeup, although if money was no object I’d buy an hourglass palette because they look amazing! Maybe you could try something like the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter? It’s like a glowy base that goes all over your face - you can put it on under foundation.

Clarins beauty flash balm is great under foundation or alone. Pricy but lasts long time.
I like Rimmel wake me up foundation- under £10 so maybe worth a try?
Benefit High Beam on cheekbones.

What worked for me was:-

Una Brennan Vit C Wash (it's the bottle with sort of orange liquid in it approx. £11)
Rosehip oil - bought mine for approx. £5 from Ebay
Highlighter - any will do - invested in a really nice but expensive Becca one

Also - depending on your budget and what you want to use - I bought a Maybelline crème blush - desperate for colour at work one day and forgot my usual blush. Then in a fit of panic and saw it recommended on here bought Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush - which for me is 'meh'. Maybe I'm using it wrong...

Try pixi glow tonic to help with the breakouts.

My favourite foundation for a dewy look is the Yves Saint Lauren one that's like touch eclat. Properly amazing.

The other thing I've come to realise is that makeup brushes are key. I'm a total convert-blending and contouring is so much easier.

I don't really contour but I have some mac strobe stuff that I sometimes apply and blend in for highlighting effect.

Aside from that just have a play and watch YouTube videos (although they usually apply waaaay more stuff than I do!)

Have a look at Lisa Eldridge on you tube.

I've updated my day time look with stick eyeshadow by Terry
And bronzer and blushers.
