Am I insane? Am I?? Marks wide fit shoes

So I am in the market for some new basic office shoes, probably black. I spend a fair amount of time on my feet and have a short walk to get to work so they need to be comfy. I have wide-ish feet.

I was in MnS today and was noticing their wide fit collection has a good few different styles of court shoe for very reasonable prices.

I am 39. Should I just start drawing my pension now or are they okay?

I have feet on the wide side but m&s wide fit are huge on me!
I have these. They look current and are comfy [[https://www.marksandspencer.com/stiletto-heel-high-cut-court-shoes/p/p60143658]♧

Marks' can be great and some seasons they have real hits. So no, YANBU to look at marks.

Those shoes in your OP are fine but not in black patent. And for comfort I would buy leather, esp if you wear them all day

Block heel (even a higher one) will be much more comfortable than kitten.

Some of their shoes online that are wide fit are brilliant, I have wide fit kitten heel ones with pointy toes in black and snakeskin, lovely boots, all sorts. Online better than the shops. In fact I have about 8 pairs Blush
Ok I know I'm 57 but I love fashionable and pretty shoes and they do a wide fit in half sizes Smile
They are all so comfortable, even the ones that look like they would be uncomfortable.

Thanks all! I will go to my local Clarks outlet and if I cannot find anything there, will look at Marks again.

As for the heel thing, I was advised by a physio specialising in feet to wear a low-low heel rather than perfectly flat so generally do now.

I have to admit that I bought a footglove the other week. M&S are the only brand (apart from possibly John Lewis own brand) who make office shoes that can be walked in more or less now. I wear trainers or similar to walk in, but I also need to be able to get around at work and to meetings without constantly changing shoes. I’d love to wear sexy stilettos, but it isn’t worth the risk of injury and being unable to walk at all for a year or something.

Dune also do wide fit.

FWIW I'm somewhat wary of so called foot specialists who tell women to wear a low heel. Have you ever met a man who says 'oh my podiatrist says I need to wear a low heel, it's much better for my feet than flats'.
