Soft comfortable bra needed

Hi I can't stand wired or padded or fancy bras and I'm looking for soft comfortable bras that also don't cut into me. In addition, I have a scar from sebaceous cyst just at the point where the top bit of the cup is and some bras can rub and make the scar red and itchy and I'm worried it could set off the inflammation again

I wear Marks and Spencer's sumptuously soft ones but I want more comfort and less padding or irritating wires. Perhaps I should just wear vest tops or go bra-less?

Any ideas please ?

Have you tried bra-lettes? I got a pack of 2 from sainsburys and they are lovely. Very comfy. No wires and no cups digging in and only light padding. I am completely converted, they are so comfy.

Sloggi.
M&S do plenty of unwired and unpadded ones, try a larger store.

Thanks I'll have a look and try a bigger M&S

Molke. Seriously comfy, I lived in mine through a spinal op and recovery afterwards. I can sleep in it too
It's basically a crop top but more supportive and better looking, and the only one that gives me uplift and support without wires

Omg Tesco!
I can't believe it! Everywhere is selling no wire bras these days it's fantastic!

Sainsbury's only does 34 back, no good to me.
I got a Tesco one 32DD and it's fab. Great shape under clothes. Doesn't make we want to rip it off by the afternoon.

And bizarrely Primark had some nice wirefree bras. That was months ago, but they might still do them.

I have this one www.marksandspencer.com/louisa-lace-bralet-dd-/p/p60105434?prevPage=plp and I love it! Doesn't dig in and I don't notice it at all

I’m currently recovering from breast reduction - so a LOT of scars - and I’m finding the front opening comfort bra from Asda really comfy. Two in a pack for £15.

LittleBLUESmurfHouse · 07/03/2019 09:50

This may sound backwards but it's probably not the under wire or padding that are the issue. It's bra fit. Most places bra fitting is terrible. I couldn't find a bra that I could stand wearing and avoided under wires like the plague but still couldn't get a properly comfortable bra.

Go to Bravissimo (even if it's a long journey away) - I wear an under wired bra now yet don't even feel like I'm wearing a bra it's so comfy. When you get the right fit, under wires shouldn't be noticeable at all. It was such a relief to finally feel comfortable in a bra.

ASDA Comfort bras! Various styles. I'm a complete convert Grin

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 07/03/2019 10:06

I think Bravissimo doesn't work very well if you're short. I'm 5'2" and the underwires come so high up under my armpits that they can hurt. I got fitted there about 6 months ago and the bras were so high on me that I pointed it out to the fitter - she had brought me a sleeveless white top to try on to check whether a nude bra was suitably opaque or not, and even in a Bravissimo top you could see heaps of bra under my arms through the sleeve holes. I did notice that the next catalogue I got mentioned some bras with lower underwires, but the website doesn't show which ones are good for that.

www.macom-medical.com/post-surgery-female/bras

I used these post surgery and they were amazing.

They don't have cups the bit where your breast goes is stretchy so you are supported that way.

Happy to post you one if you don't mind secondhand. I'm an xxl though in that range.

MissKittyBeaudelais · 07/03/2019 18:16

I’ve bought these from Sainsbury’s recently. Usually spend a small fortune on Triumph and Lejaby. They are spectacularly comfortable. I went back two days later and bought more.

They come in grey/green and black/white. Wish they did neutral. They’re very supportive (I’m a 36 DD)

I have a lot of bras, at least 60. Some were expensive, some were cheap. The most comfortable are my £2 Primark t-shirt bras and I wear them all the time.

WhatNow40 · 07/03/2019 19:18

I have a similar issue and recent mole removal. Neeeeeed comfy bra!! This one is easily the best I've found.

I've just bought my 3rd Molke. Love them. Most bralettes and crop tops gave me no support but those are fabulous.

nellyitsme · 07/03/2019 19:57

Thanks everyone for your suggestions- I'll go out looking over the weekend
