Professional pedicures

Do you think you can tell done one had a professional pedicure - well polish as opposed to doing it themselves? Just been swimming and admiring people's painted toes and wondering if it's professional or done themselves?!

I do my own weekly pedicures in the summer and I think they look pretty good! I remove nail varnish, cut or file toenails nice and short, then use a buffer for a smooth surface. Soak feet in warm soapy water for 5-10 mins, then I use a Newtons Chiropody Sponge to remove hard skin on heels. Then rinse and dry feet, and apply plenty of Flexitol Heel Balm to heels and other hard bits. Body Shop Peppermint Foot Lotion massaged in and you're done. Paint nails in the normal way, use a quick dry shiny top coat to get a week out of it

I can do a fairly "convincing" pedicure on myself but I love having pedicures so I tend to get mine done.

I hate pedicures, tickly feet, but always do my own.

More votes for the Newton’s sponge which I use every other day in the shower - genuine life changer - and body shop peppermint foot cream here! Also love weleda skin food for nearly everything including heels before bed when I remember.

I’m a nail polish klepto and have tens and tens of the things in all of the colours but favourite are Barry M and Rimmel, especially Rimmel 5 in 1 base/top coat.

Very few people can paint their toes as neatly as a pedicurist can.

Oh and remember to use Newton Chiropody Sponge and heel balm every day without fail in the summer. Once or twice a week is fine in the winter
