Ageing necks

Hi, I'm looking for any advice on ageing neck and décolletage.

As the weather is getting nicer, I have whipped off my winter scarves and jumpers and I dont think my neck looks as good as it once did.

What do people do? Creams? Oils? I dont think cotton scarves are as fashionable as they once were. Shirts? High necks?

Bumping, because I might be interested too...for a friend, obviously [cough cough]

Moisturiser (I use cheap emollient), keep to a healthy weight, face yoga and remember that no-one else notices you aging as much as you do.

Lunaballoon · 28/02/2019 20:02

Has anyone tried any non surgical cosmetic procedures on their neck? I saw an advert for “Necktite” that sounds promising.

mimibunz · 28/02/2019 20:09

My neck is aging worse than my face and I can’t pull off the French scarf thing. Chunky necklaces?

OrigamiZoo · 28/02/2019 20:26

I got this book recently, there is a neck exercise in it I'm doing, I do think it is working.

quite cheap too

lancashirebornandbred · 28/02/2019 20:31

Marks and spencer sell a very good neck cream by a company
Called Prai. Think it’s £25 but lasts quite a while.

sizzledrizz · 28/02/2019 20:34

A bull dog clip at the back of the neck

OrigamiZoo · 28/02/2019 20:51

She promises that
'While this exercise is hard, it is also extremely fast and very, very effective for getting rid of sagging jowls, a double chin and a turkey neck.'

Time will tell! I've done some photos of my jowls and neck before so I might do a before and after.

OrigamiZoo · 28/02/2019 21:00

Wow, that cream has good reviews!

PamDooveOrangeJoof · 28/02/2019 23:12

I’ve used so many lotions and potions but L’Oréal revitalift cream seems to work wonders and it’s pretty cheap.

RuggyPeg · 01/03/2019 08:11

Dermarolling.

janinlondon · 01/03/2019 08:42

Origami what is the exercise????

princessTiasmum · 01/03/2019 09:54

Neck creams are good for just wrinkly skin ,but no good for loose skin and turkey necks,

Shoeshelpplease · 01/03/2019 19:56

Any thoughts on using retinol on this area?

OP posts:
lightningstrikes · 02/03/2019 08:47

I use all my active skin care, including high SPF, on face and neck. My neck is still ok, I'd like it that way for as long as possible!

OrigamiZoo · 06/03/2019 16:19

I will try and post it if I can screenshot from my kindle

Deathraystare · 06/03/2019 16:24

Prai is also available from QVC so look out for specials. It was on the other day.

Delatron · 06/03/2019 22:02

My skin is tough and can tolerate strong retinol and I can’t use it on my neck. Many people have issues with using retinol on necks. It’s just a more sensitive area.

Can you get filler in your neck? Mine just looks a bit scraggier than it used to!

Just wanted to update my his thread.

After I posted I started using the Aldi Caviar Night Cream on my neck, night and day after cleansing.

It has made a huge difference and I am now back to happily showing that area off in open necks and lower tops.

I am so pleased with the outcome so thought I would hold share.

I don't know if any equally rich cream would work the same. This Kline is about £7 from memory..

Feel as though I've gained a few more years back before o have to cover up.

Now onto my upper arms.

Typos! Posting from my phone which I really shouldn't as that's an older age thing too.

I want to see the exercise too!
