Alternative to pureology haircare? No silicones or sulphates. Any recommendations?

I'm almost out of my large bottles of pureology and it's just not cutting the mustard since L'oreal has taken over! I didn't mind paying the price when it was amazing.

Can anyone recommend an alternative? Something that's sulphate and silicone free.

I've tried the L'oreal everpure stuff and thought it was rubbish!

Dr Organic, Faith in Nature and Perfect Day are all good.

I’ve tried a few from here over the years.

Avalon would be my absolute favourite. Lovely to use.
Faith in Nature is a very reasonably priced similar sort of product. Nice enough.
Jason really good for sensitive scalps as it’s scent free. Nice texture.
Aubrey organics nice for my hair, smells nice, but texture is a bit runny and white, bit err spunky.

Haha @BiscuitDrama sounds interesting! Will now spend the rest of the evening researching and probably ordering them all!
Thank you

OGX
Available from boots and most supermarkets, and is always on offer at one of them

I love the argon oil one, or the macadamia nut one

lolbrador · 27/02/2019 21:59

I've seen ogx but couldn't find anywhere online where it said there were no silicones. Will give it a whirl! Thanks

are you doing Curly Girl Method? you can copy and paste ingredients into Curlsbot here: Curlsbot

It says the Ogx Argan Oil shampoo and conditioners do have silicones.

I love Pureology - I am quite new to it though.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Color Freeze shampoo is fantastic. It’s the only sulphate-free shampoo that actually gets my hair and scalp properly clean. The conditioner is okay, nothing special. They both smell gorgeous.

I use Aveda shampoo. I find I don't need as much of it as regular supermarket shampoo, I buy it by the litre online and that lasts nearly a year (daily hair washing). I can't remember the brand of conditioner that I use, I buy it in the health food shop. I use a Phyto hair mask once a week.

Has anyone tried Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner? Hairdresser said they are sulphate-free?

lolbrador · 28/02/2019 07:07

@floppyflappy thank you that's an amazing tip. All great recommendations. I've never tried aveda so might give that a go

Kerastase Botanica Range. It has no sulphites, silicones or pars end and doesn't have that ugly hemp chewing vibe about the packaging https://m.lookfantastic.com/kerastase-aura-botanica-bain-shampoo-250ml/11401010.html?thgppcccampaign=71700000039973188&adtype=&productid=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhLWd4fXd4AIVV5nVCh3t4AMQEAAYASAAEgIzwPDDBwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I've been using OGX biotin one but think my hair is greasy quicker with it so watching with interest. Any for thin greasy hair? Confused
