Is a breast enhancement a waste of money

Not sure where to post this.

I have small boobs, 34B (occasionally C). I am not unhappy with the size particularly, but with the shape and feel after breastfeeding. I stopped bf over 3 years ago and hoped they would go back to a nice shape over time ... they haven't.

Although not loaded, I am financially secure and could afford a 'boob job' if I saved up for a few months. I wouldn't need a loan or payment plan. Basically I'd like to know if anyone has had breast enhancement surgery and regrets it / spending ££££ on it or if you've had it and you're happy with the decision. Does it really make a difference to your life and wellbeing?

I think you need to factor in a second boob job after 10 years, I looked into it and it’s often not a one off op.

You might just need a bra intervention. What size are you? What's your underbust measurement? I'm going to hazard a guess that you are a size 10 and actually a 30D or DD.

BringBiscuits · 24/02/2019 19:57

Placemarking. Am exactly the same position but I can’t imagine ever feeling I could spend so much money on new boobs!

SuziQ10 · 24/02/2019 21:44

I'm a size 8, deffo not a D (I wish!) they are small.

Although I'm sure I probably do need a new bra and a decent one at that, I'd like to have nice boobs with no clothes on as well.

You definitely minded a bra intervention. If you are a size 8 you are most definitely not a 34! You a more likely to be a 30 which will make your cup size going from you initiatial sizing a D/DD. Look at the bra intervention threads. If you get proper fitting bras you will feel 100 times better.

Ive has one - one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I love it! I’m a size 6 and my boobs are a 32D - it looks perfectly in proportion. You need to pay more for an excellent surgeon.

Bodicea · 24/02/2019 21:53

*need ( not minded)

justlittleoldmeagain · 24/02/2019 22:01

I had mine done at 26. I've hated them since having them done, I went from an a cup to a DD. Nobody can really tell I've had it done as they now match my hips and are a natural size for my figure, but I feel too top heavy and they are uncomfortable. I wear sports bras the majority of the time as wired bras dig in. The only time I have felt comfortable with them was when I lost weight and was a size 8. I'm now 33 and a size 12. I honestly cannot wait to get them taken out, but cannot currently afford to.

Bigonesmallone3 · 24/02/2019 22:06

I'm in the same position, a size 8 and 34b (with proper bra fittings) after breast feeding, I'm currently pregnant again so after this one and a year or so of breastfeeding I plan to have a boob job..
So watching for opinions..

Bodicea · 24/02/2019 22:13

Bigones where were your bra fittings though? If it’s a high street store such as M&S it is likely to have been wrong as they use the old out of date measuring system. I am a size 10 and I wear a 30E bra. It’s unusual for someone who is a is a size 8 to be a 34 as your frame would be too large to be a size 8. Seriously check out the bra intervention threads.

Bigonesmallone3 · 24/02/2019 22:19

It was at a Debenhams so same concept I assume.. il check it out

dementedpixie · 24/02/2019 22:27

I very much doubt you are a 34 back at size 8 when I wear a 36 back at size 20/22

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/02/2019 22:28

Big how can you be the same dress size as me but 6” wider around the rib cage?.

M&S put me in a 34A. I’m a 28DD.

maloofhoof · 24/02/2019 22:35

I had it done 15 years ago, never regretted it. I was told only need replacing if you have a issue with them, so far no issues with mine. I may look into getting them replaced in 5-10 years but only as I want to go slightly bigger.

Bigonesmallone3 · 24/02/2019 22:36

I don't bloody know lol..
She didn't even measure just had a look and got a few things for me to try on!

reallemonade · 24/02/2019 23:07

For me I thought it would be. I went for a consultation with a doctor at a reputable private hospital, the results looked poor and unnatural, he was keen to sell the surgery and it was clear it would have to be redone in future. Plus a lot of time off work etc recovering, and the small risk of dying during surgery 😏

I decided against it, I've tried exercise which has helped and although I'm single I think middle aged men also have body issues so they can put up with my saggy boobs 😁
