Help! Have just bought a dress in plain cobalt blue silk, very much this shape with these shoes in silver.

Don't tell me you don't like them because it's tough, I can't take them back!

But my problem is, I've bought them for a wedding which will go through to the evening. I need some sort of a cardi/shrug to take me through the daytime part. The shop were suggesting a silver wrap, but I'm usually a bit of a jeans-and-tshirt girl so am not sure I can carry it off. So what do I get? And what colour? And where from (LKB don't have anything to go with it)

And do I get a fascinator/hat, or stay plain and simple.

Oh, am about a 10, 5'3", small shoulders and back but large of nork, carry my weight on my hips/bum, hence the flarey skirt (the one I bought is slightly flarey-er than this one, but basically the same shape). Short brown hair.

Thanks

Whoops - sorry, thought it was the thingy over it. Was it my other link that wasn't working?

JackieNo · 05/07/2007 17:58

Cape top - try again.

MrsBadger · 05/07/2007 17:58

yes - got a page not found error

I think cropped is the way to go myslef

MrsBadger · 05/07/2007 17:59

nope

hit 'large imgae' and link to the new window

Not getting the Wrap links, but have a catalogue here so will flick through. Don't remember anything silvery. Yes, thinking the cropped ones looked like they'll work best. ALso, didn't mention that the dress ties at the back, at bustline level (sort of soft empire-line effect) so short would be good with that.

Strange - it worked for me. Does this work? If not, it's the silk velvet tie front jacket in 'jackets and coats'.

JackieNo · 05/07/2007 18:01

The Wrap website is www.wraponline.co.uk, in case that helps. WEird - all working fine for me.

MrsBadger · 05/07/2007 18:04

I don't even get a silk velvet tie-front jacket under 'jackets and coats' (hence my baffledness)

fruittea · 05/07/2007 18:06

No, I can't find it either!

I wonder whether our computer has cached some old pages. I did go back via a page in the history. Sorry - it looked lovely.

fruittea · 05/07/2007 18:16

Sounded nice

Thank you both, you've been absolute stars! You've given me lots of ideas and inspiration, I'm going to head back into town tomorrow and see if I can pick something up. Will let you know how I get on.

Better go and rescue DS's burnt offerings from the oven

sounds like a great excuse to buy the LA one and the Miss Selfridge one online and try them on...

fruittea · 06/07/2007 19:09

Gaah! Have ordered the Miss S one in an 8 and a 10, but the LA one is sold out in a 10! So fingers crossed the Miss S one works.
