Bouncy Blow Dry at Home?

Can it be done? Does anyone have any tips?

My hair dresser uses a load of barrel brushes and it seems complicated but I'd love to be able to do something other than straighten it when I'm at home! I attempted to do some curls with the straighteners once but that was a disaster!

Have a look on line for problo its anazing. A set of hair brushes that are different sizes that the handle come off so you can use it on tbe next one. Dead easy to use. Youtube have looks of tutorials on there.

Try the Babyliss Big Hair. Changed my hair life :)

Revlon pro collection brush has been a game changer for me.

Dyson air wrap. I look like I've been to the hairdressers every day. 😁😁😁

I blow dry roughly then use use large tongs to curl large sections. As soon as I take them, I roll my hair round a large velcro roller and spray the hair and the root. I do my whole head this way and it really work for me.

Babyliss Big hair has been the best thing I ever bought for my limp, fine hair. I could never master a brush and hairdryer at the same time but the BBH is brilliant for giving volume and bounce. I still don't bother every day but at least I can make it look like I've just been to the hairdressers when I'm going out somewhere nice.

MintedLamb · 20/02/2019 14:30

I've actually got a BBH, I think I only used it once. I don't think I was doing it properly, I might try and find a youtube tutorial to see if I can make that work for me before buying something else.

Parlux hairdryer with a barrel brush - I cannot believe how amazing this hairdryer is. My curls stay in and look like I’ve have had an expensive blow dry. I’ve used BBH and it doesn’t compare.

AliceRR · 20/02/2019 18:15

Does the BBH spin? My biggest tip for hair is I’ve got one of those air stylers. It’s Remington and don’t think they do that model anymore but basically one of those big round brushes that dries your hair as it styles. I have very curly hair that a lot of hairdressers can’t even blow dry well (the good ones can) and the only way I’ve got decent salon blow dry results at home is with that styler. It’s so easy. As long as hair is almost dry it works quickly too. Imgives me a smooth voluminous blow dry and everyone comments on how glam it looks

Honestly it’s worth a go. Mine cost about £15.

I’ve thought about the dyson air wrap etc but the truth is I don’t need it with the results this gives me

GoGoGadgetGin · 20/02/2019 18:24

Alice do you know what your Remington model is called?

AliceRR · 20/02/2019 18:35

@GoGoGadgetGin I just looked it up and it’s this

I recommend it highly. I’ve had mine a good five years and at the time I recommended it to two friends who both bought it and used it. It has lasted well as well. I actually got an extra one though just in case as I love it that much.
