Wanting to get rid of my 'tash'

Hi
Recently I've noticed that I've started to get a bit of a mustache.
It's still visable when I wear foundation.
The hairs aren't thick, maybe because I've never messed with the hair before?
Anyway my question is would permanent hair removal be a good idea?
Id rather do this if it's suitable than wax or thread as I dont want to be messing about every month of I can avoid it.

Omg there's nothing worse than a yellow bleached tash! I used to bleach mine as a teenager and it wasn't until I went to uni that someone gently suggested wax. I cringe now at the thought!

Just get normal facial wax strips (veet) and cut them into quarters takes about 2 minutes to do the whole tash once a month and a packet lasts all year. Use baby oil if there's any residue and then a cold damp flannel after stops any rash or stinging

Mine is blonde and I shave it. No stubble or rash.

Electrolysis is the only permanent removal method. (unlike laser)

I've had mine done!

I use my normal epilator on mine. Have to take deep breath, pull skin taught and remind myself its only painful when there are hairs still there to pull. Takes a few seconds and for me is mind over matter. Near the nose is the absolute worse but it's over in seconds. Easier after a hot shower. When I really can't face it I use an electric razor to clip them short for a night out or something.

wishingforalotterywin · 17/02/2019 20:23

@LifeofClimb how much did it cost and how many goes?

Gentlemanwiththistledownhair · 17/02/2019 20:38

Nair once a week. 4 minutes (packet says 3-5, but 3 doesn't get rid of the one or two thicker hairs and 5 feels burn-ey)

katseyes7 · 17/02/2019 20:41

l use an epilator for everything. l've got a small one for my lip (and chin!) and l run it over about maybe once a week. The shorter the hairs, the less it hurts.

dementedma · 17/02/2019 20:43

get mine waxed, and tweeze or use Nair in between times.

Shanna89 · 17/02/2019 21:17

I use the veet wax strips every 2-3 weeks. Do my whole face! Painful but worth it. I'm very fair so bleaching would be useless. It's worse in summer when I tan and the fair hair really shows up

hububalub · 17/02/2019 21:31

I found the Nair cream caused cold sores a week or so after using. So switched to tweezers. Time consuming but I do it while reading a book :-)

OrigamiZoo · 17/02/2019 21:33

You need

one of these

TowandaForever · 17/02/2019 21:37

Are Veet better than boots and other generic wax strips?

I keep an epistick in the penpot on my desk. I give my muzzle a quick going over every time I'm waiting for a document to download or something, then give it a spritz with hand sanitizer. The joys of working from home.

CatinMyLap · 17/02/2019 22:17

Towanda I personally dare not use anything else but veet (the ones made for upper lip)
I tried alternatives and they ripped my skin!

Veet have changed their ingredients of late for that product too and I would go as far as saying it’s even better

wellhonestly · 18/02/2019 08:12

luglio as I read your post I imagined trying to do this at my workplace but am slightly relieved to see that you work at home lol Grin

skinnyamericano · 18/02/2019 08:19

Your hairs sound similar to mine and I use Jolen (bleach). I promise they don’t go orange, just completely invisible. I can imagine if you had darker hair it may look orange, but definitely worth a try before anything else.

I’ve also heard that microblading is very good.

Moonbaby321 · 18/02/2019 19:01

I have a Lumea IPL and I use that on my tash and chin. Works fantastically
