Moisturiser for v dry legs?

My legs are paler than the most pale thing you've seen. They never seem catch the sun. The rest of me doesn't tan well, but I get a healthy-ish glow apart from my legs.

I think this is, in part, due to the fact I literally never have them out unless I'm on holiday, and partly because of how dry they are. I am intending to just ride it out this summer, get them out whenever the sun shines and see. I think I need to start prepping now though. The skin on my shins is flaky in places and shiny in others (I know, how attractive!), so i have decided that I will make a real effort to get them nicely moisturised before our holiday in May.

Does anyone have any suggestions for good moisturisers? Or anything else that may help, please?

Astral, big blue tub and cheap. Love it.

Oh, really? For some reason I have it in my mind it's greasy? Thanks for the recommendation.

It’s heavy but I have skin like a dehydrated rhino so it works for me.

aveeno, the almond cream is my favourite, in a pump dispenser. DD like the apricot butter and we both use the oil spray

get an exfoliating scrubby affair as well, and scrub those shins in the shower before moisturising

This Nuxe stuff is good. I've never paid that price for it though, normally find it on sale.

I like Astral big blue tub as well.

And definitely scrub the flakey bits off, that will improve absorption.

Dermol500 is light, you can use it to wash with and moisturise.

I use oilatum in the bath then baby oil onto wet skin at night when I get out.

Thanks all! I will get cracking on trying some different options.

I used to have dry scaly legs until I started using Eucerin 10% urea lotion.

Agree with the others, you have to exfoliate to get rid of the flaky stuff before you moisturise. Boots sell these rough little scrubby gloves, so it's really easy to scrub your legs in the bath or shower. All the moisturisers etc above are good, but exfoliating a couple of times a week followed by the moisturiser will make all the difference.

I have dry legs and live in a hard water area and I’ve noticed a difference after just a couple of days of using Ceravé hydrating milk. I bought a huge one in a pump bottle and I put on damp from the shower, it soaks in super quick and has made difference really quickly

Body shop body butter is lovely and rich.
