Hello,
I am of with dc3 I have a 7yr old and a 2yr old. When dc2 was about 1 and would be left to play for a bit I had a lovely blunt jaw length bob cut. It’s platinum blonde. I love it. My hair is poker straight and I was it every other day.
This isn’t going to work with 3 kids is it? I’m not going to have the time for the upkeep or to keep it looking ok? I have a few months before this baby is here so I’m wondering what should I do? Grow it so I can put it up? Long hair tends to look lank in me? I love it blonde maybe a root drag to save the amount of salon time a bit?
Help welcomed

Why will the third child be different to the 2nd? I can categorically say that of all the things that having a 3rd child changed, my hair wasn't among them! Its confusing why you expect a 3rd child to change this when your second didn't.

You are overthinking this - perhaps to avoid thinking about bigger changes (new car? New house!) Or challenges - childcare? Bedtime?

What’s a root drag?
Is it the colour that’s a problem? How about some lowlights for a bit of interest, in a caramel/honey shade?

What is mum hair? Sounds like you are already a mum with hair, albeit a bit high maintenance. It takes me 5 mins to run the straighteners over mine after rough drying for 5.

With the second one I had longer hair so it could go into a bun or ponytail. Waiting till he was in more of a routine to get something that required me to have a bit more time

Ah ok. A high maintenance cut not being compatible with a baby makes sense - I was distracted by the red herring of it being your 3rd.

Yea sorry, I mentioned it was my third because to mean that I like my hair at the moment, just it isn’t compatible with the time I’m going to have for myself with all their needs initially. It’s a reluctant change

I just googled root drag - sounds like a brilliant idea. I'd like to have that done myself, but doubt that I can find a hairdresser to do it where I live.

I just read an article on 90s highlights when I googled root drag and I think that's what my hairdresser does Blush don't most places use foils any more? Shock

I had foils when I had my highlights. A went gradually from dark to blonde using highlights. I liked the look of it, it just took ages to do and finally I’m at the point where it’s just root touch ups. It still is a lot of upkeep tho
