Gloves!

My fingers get freezing, proper white cold.

But i have DS with SN so my hands get used alot.

Atm i wear a pair of functional but dull fingerless glove liners and a pair of converter mittens over the top. But the mittens are fun but i cant get my thumb out and arent the best quality and the liners are so old now they look a little raggedy.

Wondering if im missing anything functional and attractive. Im due to be out in the cold wheelchair pushing most of the feb half term!

Cashmere lined leather gloves. Marks will probably have them.

SealSkinz. Not fashionable at all but fabulous gloves for the extreme cold and wet.

Sorry, just read that you want functional and attractive, my suggestion may not be what you are after!

Problem with both of those is if i need my fingers the whole glove has to come off! How much can you do in the without having to take them off? Eg zips, undoing a water bottle lid, putting someone else's gloves on

Yep but those really dont look very warm. I suspect i would need something seriosly warm underneath....

Something like that or fingerless but super warm would be the best option. Possibly. I just havent found it

Have you tried ski glove liners for your inner instead of fingerless gloves? They are lightweight but warm and you can do everything with them on except use your phone (though I think they do now make ones with touchscreen pads as well). They aren't super stylish but are really lightweight so you could wear nicer gloves over the top (personally I like a sheepskin mitten but not for everyone!)

Also, if you're pushing a wheelchair have you thought about pushchair gloves/muffs? They stay attached to the pushchair so.much easier to take on and off? Those, with a ski glove liner inner, might be a practical combination? Though again not the most stylish!!

I haven't yet. I wonder how much you can do with them on. Maybe i need to go somewhere to try them.

Most chair mitts seem to be for one handle. DS' wheelchair has two and whilst i have found a pair that split i wonder whether you can still push with them on. Otherwise they would be perfect.

Second the idea of leather, cashmere lined gloves if you're looking for something attractive.

Otherwise these are practical?

Combined with these and you could even stick a pair of these inside the mitts on really cold days.

Also, for indoors, I find a pair of wrist warmers help keep my toasty.

also, easy to open water bottle and mug
