Annual budget for clothes for yourself

Do you have an annual budget?

Do you buy what you like or what you need?

Does £300 a year seem reasonable to budget for clothes and shoes?
I have what I feel is good amount, but not excessive by any means, but change of circumstances means £300 will be my annual budget.

Used to be about £500.

I buy in sales, childrens clothes as I am small, second hand or Primark, so used to budgeting but do you feel £300 is a bit low.

I wear smart casual or casual mostly.

I think I would struggle on your budget as I'm tall, have a 30" back for bras and have skinny feet so I can't just pick up stuff in cheap shops. I probably spend about £500-£700 a year but expect things to last forever. I've recently got a new bikini - £32ish but need new sports bras, summer work shoes, sandals and gym trainers fairly soon.

I have set my budget for £600 a year = £50 a month.

This was based on what I spent last year ie bright red winter coat Debenhams, blue sandals, monsoon jumpsuit, m&s work trousers, three work tops, phase eight dress in sale, monsoon pinafore, Next jeggings x 2, Oasis top, Coach bag in sale.

I can go three or four months buying nothing then I will buy several things in one of the flash sales.

If I can stay under budget then great.
