Wrinkles under eyes and Botox

itsbritneybiatches · 25/01/2019 19:05

So I've started the slippery Botox slope and I think that whilst my crows feet and forehead are now improved and aging slowly, the bits under my eyes are getting a bit crinkly.

What can I do?

Any idea on cost?

Dermal fillers can improve under eye area I think they call it Tear Trough, but mostly its good if you have hollows (which I think contribute to under eye wrinkling due to less fat padding there).
Obviously its a very sensitive area so , a good reputable doctor/clinic is a must. In London, I've seen some great work on Instagram on this area by very reputable Consultant Clinic , and also Derma Medical.

I think it costs between £250-400, depending where you live and where you go.

Under eye creams just don't work ,do they !

I think it’s such a hard area to treat. You can’t botox it. Tear trough fillers probably are the best bet.

I also think (from experience) that Botox in the crows feet causes you to crinkle more under the eyes. This is more ageing than the crows feet and a harder area to treat so I stopped the botox.

You could consider eye bag surgery, sometimes it can be done under local anaesthetic.

I haven't got bags. Not yet anyway!

Just the skin is starting to age. Maybe I will have to knock the Botox on the head and do once every six months and see how it goes.

How long does the tear drop treatment last?

I had the tear troughs done yesterday, and was told 12/18mths, but they recommend topups around 12mths.

Are you happy with the results?

Has it filled out your fine lines?

Can you see a difference?

My daughter has had tear trouh fillers, twice, the first time she had to have the fillers dissolved as they were a bit lumpy, she went to someone else, and they are fine, but its a rik you take
Find someone with plenty of experience and they do make a difference, she is pleased this time

itsbritneybiatches · 25/01/2019 22:18

Thank you. I will look into it.

I’m happy so far, but am going back for a check later this week. I’ve posted photos in another thread (‘Black circles /hallows’) if you’d like to see. I’d second @princess comment; I did a lot of research and deliberately avoided beauty therapists/ high street chains. I might find fault with my face buts the only one I’ve got, and I’m also very keen on retaining my eyesight, so I was picky about the doctor I chose. It’s filled the fine lines, but I didn’t go near the crows feet at the corners... which might be my next step!
