Covering up age spots

I've got two age spots on one cheek, the size of thrumb prints so quite sizeable, and a smaller one on the other cheek. A couple of years ago I spent £1,000 on laser treatment which did not work so I'm not going down that route again and I can't afford it anyway.

No matter what I use to cover them up it's like I can see a 'shadow' underneath, a bit like if you try and cover a bruise. What ever I put on (colour correctors/foundation/concealers/powder) it just doesn't hide them and any products seem to wear off after only a short amount of time anyway. I've got dry skin (I'm 50) and no matter how much I moisturise it's almost as though my skin is sucking in the product and making it disappear if that makes any sense, rather than it rubbing off. I have the same problem with foundation disappearing so I've pretty much given up with it.

I wear SPF50 every day in the hopes the marks won't get any darker.

Can anyone please please please recommend anything to help cover them?

There's a super duper version of Estée Lauder double wear which would cover everything. I can't remember name at the moment but you need to ask in the store and they will be able to help you.

Isn’t there a special foundation that people with birth marks can use? I’m sure that I’ve read about it somewhere or seen it on a tv programme. It’s supposed to be very good for coverage and also waterproof, it’s probably quite expensive, but it doesn’t sound as if you’d need to use much, so would probably last for ages.

Vichy dermablend is what make up artists use for things like this I think.

Also I believe there is make up by Kat Von D for covering tattoos they could also be worth a look? (Available in this country? Sorry I’m not an expert!)

Negans, i had the very same thing on my cheek, nothing would cover it, in the end, i got from the ordinary, some vit c, retin a, and from qvc some alfa H liquid, it took a good 6 months, but its all gone, i make sure i have spf on every day now.

Try this, it covers all my age spots, dark circles, and broken veins in one go. I've thrown out my concealer! It gives a very moist, glowing finish, but if that's not your look, it looks amazing with a dusting of setting powder, not cakey or thick at all.
Disclaimer- I don't work for them, I just LOVE this, and hope you will too

I have sun damage that I struggle to cover. I haven’t found a concealer that works on it. Full coverage foundation doesn’t suit my ageing skin as an all-over look (I’m 48) as it seems to highlight texture and fine lines.
What is working for me is using a medium/light coverage foundation all over my face (CT Light Wonder) and then blending a very small amount of full coverage foundation (over my nose and small area of cheeks either side where the damage is). I use Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation for this. Nothing budges it all day (it needs serious cleansing to remove). You can only get it in Harvey Nicks in the UK though.
