Help! Oily skin!!

I've spent my whole life with fairly dry skin, however in the past year, it's become oily on my chin, forehead and either side of my nose. I literally don't know how to deal with it.

I changed foundation to Estée Lauder double wear, use a good powder and the urban decay setting spray, yet my foundation still becomes oily after a few hours of wear. It doesn't shift much, but it looks like I've doused my face in chip fat or something.

I've read a lot of beauty blogs and it seems I may need a good primer. Does anyone have any recommendations? Or for a face cream or foundation too?

I'm 40, so maybe this could be hormonal, if that make a difference to products. Please help!!!

Try using the setting spray under your foundation and over your moisturiser.

Thanks, will try that. Do you set after foundation too?

Your skin could be dehydrated so maybe try a more nourishing moisturiser?

Cleanse with an oil. It’s helped my oily face loads. I have the superfacialist vitamin c one. Rub it in and wipe of with a hot muslin. I also use a drop of two to moisturise before bed.
I was using facial wash that was too harsh for my skin and stripping it of its natural oils so it went into overproduction.

The ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum is also good before makeup.

Dr Hauschka Normalizing Oil. It does not dry your face out like other oily skin products, which only make the skin produce more oil. Give it a try.

Thanks for the tips!
