Microblading

I want my eyebrows to be thicker, especially at the ends, so been thinking of microblading. I want them to still look natural, just to look like when I get them filled in with brow pencil/powder.
I have a disability, which severely limits movement of my head/neck so can't do my own make up properly.
I have some concerns after researching that I hope people can help me on. I read that some people lost most of the pigment, even after the top up. I don't want to waste money or end up with patchy, uneven brows. Also, how long before you can exercise? Some sites say 5 days whilst some say 2 weeks? Thank you Smile

I have had mine done and yes the pigment does fade but I get a yearly top up, my aftercare routine sheet advises no exercise for 3 days as the salt in your sweat will push the colour out, I kept mine dry for the 12 days it takes for the scabs to off, I find the sleeping on my back the hardest thing to do as I'm a face planter.

3 days I can cope with. Haha I usually sleep on my back, so should be fine with that. I would be okay with getting a yearly top up- the stories I read was that as the scabs came off so did most of the pigment, so I guess that's what I'm worried about.

Microblading is weird in the respect that you are warned repeatedly by the Micorblader that they will be really dark and you will hate them and panic on the first day after treatment and then on day two you hate them even more as they get even darker, by day three you are convinced you have made a terrible mistake and the thought of scrubbing them off enters your mind, by day four you kinda like them same on day five, then the scabbing really sets in and they are lumpy and weird looking (they aren't really but as I sit and examine them closely in a 5x magnification mirror they look lumpy and weird) day six, seven and eight are all about the same of lumpy weirdness and itching begins and then they start to flake and the scabs start lifting (this is the worst bit imo as I want to pick and you can get unattractive scabs stuck in your eyebrow hair but you can't pull it out as it's still attached, day twelve/thirteen all the scabs have gone and you panic as they look so light and the pigment seems to be all gone and you think what a waste of money and then over the following week they seem to settle and the colour comes and goes but by the end third week they are pretty much there.

I'm just into the third week after my yearly top up and mine are settling and finding their colour and I'm so pleased with them, but my advise is to really check out the person you go to as having seen the results of some, in my area you definitely get what you pay for, my ladies is expensive but her work blows all the others out of the water.

Greys explanation is exactly how mine went. The beautician spent ages drawing them in first and made sure that I was totally happy with the look before starting the procedure.

However, I developed a severe allergy to hair dye after microblading and the hairdresser said it was caused by the extra pigmentation in my skin. I’ve had to choose between eyebrows v getting my grey roots covered. I chose my roots.

Thanks for the replies. They have given me a good idea of what to expect and not to go into panic mode Grin
