Dermaplaning-yay or nay?

I’ve heard some good things about dermaplaning but it concerns me that it’s like shaving your face. And would you have to get it done every month?

I’d love to know more about this so BUMP

You can do it at home really easily. You need these special flip up razors - I get mine on Amazon.
I started doing it to control my moustache but it does have massive benefits in that I get so many less spots than plucking and also make up goes on a dream!
Never had it done in a salon though so can’t comment on that aspect Smile

So it’s something I’d need to keep doing rather than a one off treatment probably. At £40 a go I’ll have a wee look on Amazon thanks!

It’s a surface treatment so depends on what you’re amazing for. I like to have it done before a big event, it makes make up etc go on beautifully. The results don’t last long though and are superficial. I prefer regular acid peels/microdermabrasion then this as I say before something special.

Looking not amazing

I honestly thought it was a waste of money for the price it was. It probably be happy paying £10 for it

ginyogarepeat · 20/01/2019 10:38

Get the razors yourself from amazon and look up a few YouTube videos!

ginyogarepeat · 20/01/2019 10:40

I use these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0799G71TC/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_s.erCb2BVAX1T

MrsIT · 20/01/2019 10:51

ginyogarepeat I use the same!

Yogatoga09 · 20/01/2019 10:54

Brilliant, thank you!

yogatoga09 be careful with them as they look innocent but are very sharp! Having a cut on your upper lip always looks hilariously suspect...
Also another example I once dropped one and it landed on my toe and the amount of blood was amazing! It was one of those cuts like when you cut your legs shaving where it’s tiny but so clean that it bleeds loads.
